I really like gymnastics.
and Soccer.
There is a place in town where there is a gmnastics gymnasium and I have been thinking about a membership.
It brings up questions though will they have a issues?
What should I wear? vs. what do I want to wear?
And at the Rec center too, what about locker rooms?
Swimming?
I mean, I don't think I would have a problem going tubing in Boulder Creek in a bikini, but at the Rec Center?
In the pool?
not sure. It IS Boulder, maybe they'd be fine with it.
Iv'e also been thinking about joining a soccer team.
Well, which one? Co-ed would probably be best.
But if there isn't one avalible? The womens?
They might have issues. So might the mens.
Sports bra or jog bra at practice?
Hmm. womens would be more appropreate, but they might say the team had an unfair advantage or somthing.
Dunno.
What have you guys experienced in the "sports, Gym, and Rec" world?

I haven't had any problems with acceptance. I've been a member of Curves for several years now and before that I worked out at the base gym (I'm retired military). It was kind of weird to use the womens locker room after using the men's in the same gym. None of the staff or the other members has ever said anything though.

I would have loved to do gymnastics when I was younger but my father kept on telling me I should do something more manly. When my mother stepped in she at least talked my father into swimming and log rolling at the local YMCA but as I got older (like 10ish) I started to get a real bad case of Gynecomastia, the instructor said that I couldn't swim with a shirt on so I gave it up.

I didn't understand any other sport type game so I stopped doing physical activities in general because I couldn't stand how I looked.

I have had gym memberships before my surgery. I used the womans locker room, but I was very descreet. I never had any problems, that I know of. I had a one piece swimsuit as I'm not exactly two piece material. They had places I could change in privacy.
