I'm on the upswing now.  Had some jello then a bit of tomato bisque.
No word on what the abnormality is yet.  They lasered it off.  The before and after pics show improvement.  All is good.

Hugs and smiles, Jess

It sounds like we share something in our responses to general anesthesia.  I also have a pounding headache the day after, and nausea for a couple days.  After GCS i had anti-nausea and painkillers in my IV for a few days.  On other procedures that had me out of the hospital quickly after general anesthesia, wow.  Ow.

Try just holding ice chips in your mouth without swallowing.  This helps with hydration and seemed to settle the nausea and headache a little bit.  I had an anti-nausea drug I could take after surgery, and I took it daily for the first couple of days after FFS, which helped.  I also took a painkiller sublingually to address the anesthesia 'hangover', that bad headache.

All of this does pass pretty quickly.  Try to spend today (day after surgery) as relaxed as possible, napping or dozing, while your body flushes out all the odd chemicals from surgery and anesthesia.

Hugs and wishes for you to feel better quickly,
Michelle P.

Oof!  🤭  Thank you for passing on the updates for me, I'm glad you followed it on FB....

Thank you all for the caring replies.  I certainly appreciated them!

HiYa Jessica.

I'm just popping in to say Hi (see above) and check on you. I gather from your posts that you're rapidly improving after your surgery as far as after/side-effects are concerned.

Dear Jess:
I read some of the details on the thread of @liz K today about your 4th day of recovery ... I see that you have mostly been able to keep quiet per your doctor's orders... but you did admit to slipping up to greet your son with a (hopefully soft spoken) "hello" ...  I trust that it was not painful and I hope that it will not cause any issues with your ongoing recovery.

For me, I would have great difficulty being quiet even for a brief length of time....
...as you know from my plethora of postings here on the forums, I am a talker so I would have to have some Duct Tape over my mouth to keep me quiet.  ;)

I am so glad that your recovery is going well and that you are back on the Forums doing your thing...
...for sure we all enjoy your cheerful and helpful presence here.

Hugs and continued well wishes for you...
Danielle

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.
Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Be brave, be strong.  Try a little kindness.  I am a brown eyed brunette.

Dear Jess,
Not just tears in your eyes, but there are tears of joy in your followers eyes too, we are just so very happy for you.

Was this a card for special occasion... or was it a random act of showing and expressing love to you???
Either way, I like getting cards like that also....

Thank you for sharing your very happy moment.
Hugs,
Danielle

This was entirely out of the blue.
I have always known our love is strong.
She has never been the sentimental type, this is her out of the box.

Hi friends 🌸🌸🌸
I just received a noticed from my surgeon that the abnormality removed from my right vocal cord is benign...not cancer or precancerous.
This of course releases much stress to myself.

I have lost another dear friend just now.  Trying to be diplomatic was moot to them.
Be careful who you bring into your life, they might not appreciate efforts made for them.
When friends insist you fall in line with their beliefs, they become unfriendly.
