@Jessica
My Dear Jess:

So very sorry to read of your medical issue with the Sinus Infection....   wow, I have had sinus infections in the past but never did they result in the dramatic and pronounced symptoms that are tormenting and plaguing you.
Definitely  Oof x2

Please get well soon....
Hugs and best wishes and fast healing.
Danielle

NOTE:  I am touched by the fact that even though you are not feeling well that you took your time and energy to write such a kind and caring PM to me late last night!!!  [emoji172]  [emoji172]

Sorry you caught a sinus infection. I get those at least twice a year and can really feel with you and your pain.

Hope you get better soon and the medication will be helping.

Hugs,

Sarah

Thank you Danielle and Sarah for caring how I was feeling.
And thank Charlie Nicki for reaching out on WhatsApp.
I really appreciate you all for doing so.
I'm doing much better now that I'm on stronger antibiotics.
My sinus infection I had in December needed two courses of an antibiotic that didn't do as well.
I'm able to stand up now.  Couldn't even think of doing that yesterday.

Hugs and smiles, Jess

I'm sorry to hear that Jessica. Sinus infection are the worst. I usually have to snort warm salt water to stop the pain.

I honestly thought I wouldn't survive that night.
That was the absolute worst I'd ever felt.
Saline spray is always nearby and my steamer is my friend.  But there was no doing either.
It was all I could do to crawl out of the bath where I collapsed from vertigo.
That vertigo lasted severely for about 6 hours.  Imagine being in a tornado for 6 hours...oof!
Thankfully my wife came to me quickly and helped the best she could short of calling an ambulance.
Got a phone appointment with my doctor in the morning and got my meds by noon.
I must give a shout out to my wife.......she saved my life.

Hugs and smiles, Jess

I'm very glad that you had someone there to help you and make sure you were safe.

I mentioned this before, but being alone, and having those symptoms of disorientation is a sure flag to call 911.  Yeah, it may cost something, but this is a life on the line.  Being persistent, toughing it out, rarely convinces bacteria to back off from the big Happy Meal they've found.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

Thank you Michelle, if I had been alone, I'm still unsure if I would have even been able to negotiate dialing just a 9, never mind the two 1's.
Please, if you could, have that lady (who may be sitting next to you) give you a big hug for me!
She may need to give jitter stopping hugs during the days before you upcoming procedures.  This of course doesn't need practice, but it feels good.

Thank you for your replies Liz and Sarah!
I hadn't seen Laurie in quite a bit, it felt wonderful to hug her again.

Thank you for the compliment on my Avatar.  Laurie snapped it in the Italian restaurant (Tomatinas) we all had lunch at.  We've been there a number of times and always treated with great respect.
Hopefully you opt to join us on the West Coast Roadtrip so you might receive the hugs you deserve from us.
At this writing, Laurie has informed me that Michelle is in the recovery room at this time.  So all seems well for her so far.

Hi friends 🙋‍♀️ Some of you may know that my relationship with my close running gal pal hit a large bump in the road last October.  She was my best friend and a misunderstanding drove a wedge between us.  I have struggled with depression since then, not knowing if we could patch things up and be friends again.  We have had no contact with each other and it burned every time I thought of her, thinking that it was over.
This morning I woke elated from a dream.......  we had bumped into each other while shopping in this dream.  She was with her young daughter and I was compelled to ask her for a hug.  I was overjoyed that she reciprocated and we tearfully embraced.
Now of course this is just a dream and dreams are typically disjointed from reality.  I was wearing a tool belt and looking at discounted Valentines candy, while she was obviously pregnant and her daughter appeared to have just gotten out of a pool.  Dreams!
I had to break the ice that was growing thicker by the moment and reached out to her this morning with a text.  I told her of my dream and how I missed her friendship dearly........
She replied back instantly that she missed me also.  She wants to start training again for the upcoming Bay to Breakers race with me.  I am so very happy!

@Jessica:
Dear Jess:
See... dreams do come true!!!   I know that you were very distressed with your running gal friend happenings last fall but now it is time to go forward with your friendly relationship and your training for the Bay to Breakers race.
In many regards you are like me in the fact that I am many times the one to break the ice and reach out.   The results can be wonderful.....  nothing ventured, nothing gained is my motto.

As you had revealed to me in the past ... I have been the subject of your dreams...  and all I can say is that is so flattering and affirming as your good friend.  You likewise have been in my dreams as well and frequently many members here on the Forums are the subject of my dreams as well, without exception they are quite pleasant dreams too.

Thank you for sharing.
I trust that you will continue to have more pleasant and rewarding dreams...
Hugs and best wishes,
Danielle

Yay Jess! This is very heart warming indeed. You see, someone has to take the first step. I may as well be people as wonderful as you. The rewards are often positive. I hope you both can put your differences behind you and continue a great friendship.

Big hugs Jess.
