The process of hormones

I had a long discussion with my mum today about hormones, and I have a couple of questions, because I've never really thought about these things.
- How will hormone blockers affect me? I'm currently on birth control (yay for more of the hormone that I don't want!), and I'm pretty much entirely through puberty.
- I want to freeze my eggs prior to going on T, but I also want to carry my own children in the future. If I go on T, will this be achievable, or will I have to use a surrogate?
- Is the general rule about the effects of hormones being irreversible after 2 years really true, or does it vary for everybody?
Thank you!! :)

You don't take hormone blockers if you'e FTM and through puberty already.

I believe some people freeze eggs, and some people stop T for a while in order to have kids and then go back on T. It's achievable.

Some effects of T are irreversible. The voice drop, the external growth of your sexual organs, the growth of body and facial hair are all technically irreversible. Things like menstruation, body fat redistribution, the psychological effects and such will stop if you stop HRT. Those are a general rule for everybody. I haven't heard of a case of the irreversible things reversing without medical intervention.

I've heard of people taking them to get rid of oestrogen prior to starting testosterone so the effects kick in quicker, but I have no idea of whether that'd work

I haven't heard anything of that myself, but it will probably speed matters up if you quit birth control before T. I quit about a year before being signed on T and my E levels were tanked - the changes from T were very rapid for me. It probably had at least something to do with the very low E levels I had as a result of quitting long term BC pills.
