Home Care vs Professional?

So I am sure a lot of people would look at the title and say professional over doing it at home; but until my financial situation gets better would it be viable not to mention which products might be most helpful in this situation? I am also curious if anyone has noticed lack of facial hair after a while of taking hormones?

I have been on HRT for 13 months and I still get facial hair. I bought the Tria Laser years ago and never really used it  I started to use it on my face and I have basically just 50 percent of my chin and neck left so if you are asking if Home lasers work I will say the Tria works it does take time and it is not the most comfortable but I love it and would recommend it

Yes I was trying to find something that would help a bit with the facial hair as I didn't want to keep shaving. I also was holding onto the hope that the hormones would reduce it quite a bit ( I know it's different for everyone but gal's gotta have hope! )

Hormones do not reduce your facial hair. Growth rate my slow down but getting rid of it will require laser (if you have darker hair and right skin tone) or electrolysis. Laser is faster, generally much less expensive and far less uncomfortable than electrolysis. For more info you might check out hairtell.com.

If you opt for electrolysis I suggest you get as much out of the way prior to HRT because the associated changes to the skin means greater sensitivity....... I.e., it'll hurt more.

Can ipl's be used on beard hair then? I thought it was a no no. Have you had any issues?

Aww well that is saddening to hear and double saddening since I've technically been on HRT for about 5 months now so I bet that session will hurt like the dickens. Thank you for the link though looks like I have a bit of research to conduct. Darn that the pills aren't that magical maybe someday
