Does anyone feel like there boobs have stopped growing? I feel this way sometimes. When I first started HRT things where going great. Within a week my nipples started to hurt, every month there was some progress. But it seems like they don't grow at all now. I'm just wondering if others have felt this way too, and if there was a happy ending.

That is very common, so don't worry. Your body will take rests and have different growth spurts. Every single person I know this has been true and they all worried that their breasts stopped growing. Your body is going through a lot of changes, and it might not work on all of the parts at the same time. This happens in natal women as well during puberty.

You do realize that breasts are a half sphere.

2 * R exp 3 is the volume of this half sphere.
so you've got 2.1 * Radius exp 3 = volume of half sphere

Say at 3 months, your breast have a radius of 1 inch, at 12 month 2 inch, at 24 month 3 inch.

3 inch radius is about a C cup.

The breast tissue would be at 3 months = 2.1, 12 month = 16.8, 24 months = 56.7

While the 3 month to 12 month rythm keeps with the 0 to 3 month,
if you kept with the same rythm in 12-24 months, you wouldn't have 56.7 at 24 months
but... 33.6!!

So, your breast would have grown at the same
speed but not reached close to C cup even 12 month later.
The projection would only have increased 0.35 inch  ((33.6/2) exp 1/3),
yet your breast will have grown just as much as before.

That would put you a bit tight in your B cup but not yet ready for C.

Since, its a much bigger envelloppe, there's also less likelyhood of tightness
in the breast so you don't feel it growing in the same way
(though, you may feel transitory pain).

The bigger the breast is, more tissue it needs to increase visual size.

all you girls that have started hrt are lucky, i wish i could, but don't really know who to talk to about it around here so i could get mine to grow...lol. i feel a nice b cup for my toothpick figure would be nice, but from the family genetics i see in my estranged sisters, i would possibly end up much bigger without wanting to be...lol

Thanks everyone, I just wanted to here some supportive words. I found it hard to understand the math stuff but I got it when I read the bottom part. It's just embarrassing sometimes to be small

Well, look at it this way: at least you have breasts, even if they are not as big as you would like them to be.

nothing really wrong with stuffing either  :P

They have. Will have to get a breast enlargement if I want them bigger. Theres no other way.

Mine were the same way. VERY quick initial progress, followed by scary rapid development for five months or so.... to the point I found myself saying, "I wish I could transfer all this development from my breasts to my face!"

Yea, well, Thy Wish Was Granted. My breasts basically stopped, and my face morphed instead from the on. Which IS faaaar more important to me, but still...

I DO get the whole "filling in a greater volume" thing, and they ARE slowly expanding in volume and width. But cosmetically, in terms of how it looks in clothing, nothing has changed since that initial burst of development. I'm probably only around a Near-A.

I've heard it takes up to six years for breasts to really mature though, so I hope we'll do well in the end ;)

Kate, as I said also elsewhere, you have to realize also that you had a lot more
pect initially than now, so even if you have more breast tissue, you can have less
"breast" in a sense of filling the cup.

I went from 38B to 34C, so I've got less "breast" but more breast (because initially I had mostly muscle with fat and breast tissue on top. My whole body has shrunk. I had trouble fitting in medium blouses and now I'm heading for small!!

Most women have very very small pects compared to men, so they don't really figure in
the breast's size and that's why FTM have such flat chest unless they trained hard prior
to mastectomy.

I haven't showed my boobs to anyone, I'm kinda self-conscious. But I have only been on HRT for 7months so I'm still kinda early in physical changes. But I do have boobs they just aren't the size I would like them to be, I think they are around an smaller A-cup. It's important to me because the rest of my body is quite feminine, I just don't have big boobs and I feel like I'm out of proportion. Sorry everyone I know I'm such a girl we always worry about our boobs.

No.  After 6 months they are still growing, though much slower then the first 3 months.  I am a 36 A, and a full A at that.  In reality I am closer to a near B at this point as A size bras are now too small.  I am still flat by all means but for my frame, I really do not want to be much more then a B.

With that being said, you look fantastic.  I am actually really jealous how good your face looks after 7 months.  So everybody ends up blessed in different ways.

I started HRT in 2000, went to a size B when I went for surgery in 04. After surgery they kind of took a growth spurt and now I'm a C cup. I feel they haven't stopped as they tend to be a little sore now. I maybe on another growth spurt. I had to get new bras about 6 months ago. My estrogen was low and the doctor wants to up it a little. I'm on the highest ofthe patches. I'm thinking about it but don't know.

Greetings,

I have been back on HRT fulltime only for the last year and all I can say is that development has gone in spurts. What I have noticed is that they go through spurts of growing out and then thing slow down as they fill out. Not sure about other girls, but I had B cups within four months of HRT...perhaps not a full as I would have liked but B cups just the same. Things have slowed down and after a year on HRT I'm up to a full C...

I wouldn't worry too much about it, it takes genetic females years to fully develop their breasts so you just need to give is some time...

Peace and love,
Izzy

Aren't they supposed to stop growing after...let's say...two or three years on mones?  I wouldn't like them to keep on growing forever...

Usually within 2-years you will reach your full potential in terms of breast growth...they will continue to grow slightly for a while after that, but the grown isn't all that much...but different people have different experiences...so your mileage may vary.

I know.  I've been on mones for almost four years.  My breasts have stopped growing; I'm a large B cup (see avatar piccie) and I don't want them to get bigger.  They are alright for my body contexture & look very proportional.  That's what I've always wanted. ;)

That says it best! It's not really about how big they are, but rather how they look for your build. I was happy with B cups myself, but since growing into C cups I can't complain and they still look proportional for my build too. I think too often people obsess over size and loss sight of the 'total' look concept.

Ya, I have heard some girls get B-cups within months some bigger. Thats not happening to me...I have always been kinda skinny but since Transing I eat as much as I can to gain weight. That hasn't happened either I was 118 pounds when I went on HRT and 7 months later I'm only 119 pounds at 5-3 in height. And I eat like a pig usually every 2 hours, but I think things are just moving around in proportion. Rather than everything going to my chest it's going to my ass and lower tummy and legs as well. It's hard for me because I pass so well that I'm worried my lack of larger breasts may give me away. I'm going to see how things are in the summer it will have been 1 year on HRT then and I can get a better idea of how my future will be. I really don't want to have to get implants but I will do it if I have no choice.

Jessica,

There are many factors that can affect breast development, with one of them being genetics. Do you have any female siblings that are older or fully developed?? They will give you an idea of what you might be able to expect. Don't get discouraged, it can take a while for things to develop and for your size I think B cups would look right for your build...

Also, look at all the woman out there in the world...there are all shapes and sizes when it comes to breasts...breasts don't make the girl either. Based on your picture I would think you shouldn't have any problems passing regardless of breast size...believe me I think just about everyone here can relate to your desire for breasts...but there is so much more to being a woman than that...

Peace and love,
Izzy
