Ok so Im working out where I want my hairline to stop when I transition, Im looking at electrolysis for the face, but the thing is I have a hard time shaving my head hair to be in line with my ear. I was wondering, where does the average woman's hair line in relation to the ear stop?

mine looks like this

I wondered the same thing when I was going through hair removal.  I asked my electrologist (more than 2 decades' experience) and her answer was: eyeglasses.  The point where eyeglasses rest on your sideburns is the dividing line.

There is no true line of division—at some point the beard hairs grow intermingled with the head hair. The electrologists I've worked with look at the hair quality, to pick out and remove just the beard hairs, leaving a natural gradation from head hair to naked skin.

I mean in terms of for women, is it like mid ear/above ear etc?

As Kendra said, the line is where the arm of glasses would rest. The line is curved and the hair may be thinner along the edge. In your images, your sideburns are cut low and the line would be a little higher and rounded. Try finding some images of women with their hair pulled back and you will see what we mean.

That's about right. I studied a number of photos of women once and determined that I should probably shave up to just above the ridge of my cheekbone. That's a little below the eyeglasses line, actually. This is a constant area of annoyance, though, when you have long hair, though. I'm forever shaving a little too high or low there and end up with some hairs of varying length there. If anybody has any good ideas for dealing with that, I'd love to hear them.

so like Demi here?

I have similar glasses like this, so would I be looking for this sort of thing?

I will probably need to grow my hair a bit longer and the sideburn itself before I can get this

I'm growing my hair out now and I am almost able to tie it back.

I had problems thinking where to shave my sideburns too so I just ended up tucking everything I could behind my ear and shaved the rest since it either never grew long or was facial hair.

Yup, the eye glass line. I too have my electrolysis technician doing as per their experience.
