I finished my first visit at home with the parents - they did fairly well (However, I did really astonish them when I explained I was in a lesbian marriage when mom asked if I knew any lesbians).

There were so many things I did that I'm proud of and that went well - things like it was the first time I've had to go into a women's room and wait for a stall in line with other women (nobody screamed or ran out, which I count as a win), dealt with the TSA flying, waitresses properly gendering me at restaurants (yay!) and best of all they gave my male family members the check instead of me (ironically I was paying, but still it was awesome).

Awesome!

I did everything I could to avoid that first line for the ladies room. No screamers for me either,  but if they did run out at least I would have moved up in the line.

I've also noticed that we almost always get asked if it's separate checks when I got to restaurants with my wife now.

We were getting asked about separate checks until Randi started cutting them off with "she's paying." I don't mind, it's the one time I can be sure that she'll gender me correctly.

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

What made me happy today is work was not busy as a usual Monday so I had time to work on my transition game plan and budget. If things go well I will have enough money to afford therapy and Dr. appointments AND Disneyland!

Well it's was yesterday, but had fun fighting  with my wife over items while clawing  through a couple of buckets of clearance make up at Target.

All good brands, mostly lip stuff.
We both took home a handful.  I think I had 6 items for around $10

Finally got scores: 4th in my division and 11th overall out of 105 shooters.    :o

Now that creepy old acquaintance is REALLY going to be wondering who I am.  :D

8 days till my divorce is final, and 16 till my name is legal.  You'd think the first one would be a bad thing, but me and my ex-wife do better as friends than we did as spouses.

Yesterday I was sitting at a casual restaurant and a lady came over as she thought that I was her girlfriend.  I was presenting as male.  She said that she was sorry for the confusion but I was wearing a sweater that looked a lot like the one her girlfriend was wearing a lot recently, and the same for the jeans, plus my hair was somewhat like what her girlfriend wears.

I told her that her girlfriend must like to wear her boyfriend's clothes, and we laughed.  She said that her girlfriend likes to wear this bright red lipstick and that I obviously did not have any on.  Well we had a little bit of chit chat after that, then her girlfriend came in and she joined her at another table.

That lady must have been blind as a bat.  Her girlfriend was rather pretty, and at least this time, she was wearing jeans but her sweater was a deep pink, mine was a purplish or royal blue.  She also had more feminine looking hair than me, although I have a lot of weight or thickness in my hair in the back, as her girlfriend does.

I do not consider that a male fail, but I did get a small kick out of what happened.

Women can be color blind so if you take color out of the picture, it's possible you look more alike than you think. On the other hand, When I don't have to, I like to shed my glasses so sometimes I have to be careful with more distant objects.

Dena,

You made some good points.  Thank you.

Now my unclearly made point was that her girlfriend looked a lot better and fem than me, "anyone that could see" could tell the difference in that regard.  But I did understand in a way how she could make her mistake.  It is not like her girlfriend and I were standing side by side.  Her girlfriend clearly was looking all lady, that's for sure.

You do make a lot of good posts here on a regular and consistent basis and I want to thank you for that, as I have learned from the helpful things that you have mentioned in them.  Thanks for taking your time to make insightful replies to people here.

I Just saw this thread; it was carried over by my previous username Kittenpower.  Anyway, I signed up for a new account yesterday, and chose this username since I am starting a blog and YouTube Channel with it; the idea is that I will cover many topics including trans related discussions. So I'm happy about those projects, and being back here at Susan's 😊

Yay! Be sure to take some ibuprofen or something before hand. The pain level for laser is different for everyone, but without a doubt it does hurt. Avoid caffeine, and drink lots of water!
