After three weeks on HRT i had a family member pull me aside to ask i could wear a shirt around the dudes. ( i live in the tropics were shirts are optional ) despite disagreeing that women should have to cover up it felt good because she was treating me the same as she does all the girls.

I washed my hair again today. Before I started HRT, I would have to wash my hair every two or three days. Now I can go an entire week without washing it, and it still wouldn't be oily. :D

I love this.

I love that, too,but over time it changed. Now I need to wash it every two or three days.

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

I wanted my first post in this thread to be something worth posting, even if it was technically something that made me happy last night... But I just received my HRT letter from my therapist. On Monday I'm scheduling an appointment with my GP and keeping this ball rolling, and depending on the whims of fate (ie: what medicaid says and appointment openings) I could be looking at having the actual hormones soon enough, and I am just beyond excited.

Though funny enough, more than the letter and what comes with it, what really made me just overjoyed was the e-mail it was attached to that said "Hi Ellie...". I keep smiling and looking back at it.

That is so awesome!  Also, I love the name. My second daughters middle name is Eleanor and she responds to both Violet and Eleanor, which is just adorable.  Glad to hear you are making such amazing strides!

My happy is that I have finally begin the process of hair removal.  It's the beginning of a long journey, but it's begun.

Bought some new jeans today. When I started this journey in Jan of this year I weighed 185lbs (84kg) and wore US size 16 jeans. My weight is down to 154 (70kg) and I was amazed to find a size 8 was now a perfect fit!

Congrats Ellie!!

Today I went to my laser appointment for the first time as Sarah. They all had no problems with it whatsoever & were happy to change my name on their file.
I also went out to RenFest again (free ticket!), and had a lot of fun, even if we did get rained on (and rained on HARD - we were holed up in a store there for over an hour while they stapled up tarps!).
While we were stuck there I bought a coin skirt, matching top, and wristbands (basically a belly-dancer outfit). Not sure I feel confident enough to wear it around anyone else just yet, though!  ;D

Thanks! :D I just looked up a coin skirt, that is amazing and I want one too now, but I don't think I would even have the confidence to look at it, much less buy it. ;D

Jessica, that's awesome.  I'm pretty much exactly the same, started at 184, and now at 150.6.  I threw away all my fat boy jeans and bought girl 30" waist, love it!

And Roll, congrats, so much to look forward to!

Today was a stupid thing but it still made me happy.  At breakfast ordering I was asked my name so they could call it out.  I gave my boy name.  She looked at me funny and I thought repeated it, and I said yes.  When I got my receipt it said "Mary".  Silly yet still made me smile.

Being gendered as female by the clerk at the post office this morning. I didn't make any effort and wasn't looking for it. I had on a loose fitting flannel shirt, no make up and I don't give a $hit hair. I guess the black stud earrings and fingernails was enough. It takes so little to make me happy, though it only lasts for a few minutes before I'm back to being miserable again.
Finding 'self' is the first step toward becoming 'self'. Every step is part of a journey. May your journey lead to happiness. Peace!

I have been practising walking like a woman, I think I have it. I emailed a local trans group asking to join, so hopefully I should soon have a safe place to dress as a woman and get my first fem photo

Okay, a few days ago but still makes me happy.  A few days after I came out to my dad, I received a gift from him in the mail, addressed to my preferred name.

On my way home from working out of town.  I stopped at an Arby's restaurant drive through to get a snack.  I used my female voice at the speaker.  When I got to the window, before he looked at me, he said hello ma'am.  Bad part was he changed to sir as soon as he saw me.  Understandable, it was dark, so he couldn't see my makeup, I was wearing my work uniform, and my male driving glasses.  I told him in my female voice he was right the first time, he apologized, and used female pronouns for the remainder of the wait.

Was getting ready today and I step out of the shower to see BOOBS. ON ME. They are mine! They just kind of hit the point where they look less poky and more filled out.
