I get a lot of comments from long-time friends about the change in my eyes - and I notice I carry myself with a ton more confidence.

But of course when you start liking yourself and treating her right, it's a *lot* easier to smile, have confidence, and otherwise deal with life, and I'm starting to believe all the gals that have been through this that it's a mental thing.

I had to go out and get a passport picture taken today - and for the first time just was able to connect with other women without feeling I was an outsider intruding during the day.  Just small chit chat, but it still feels pretty awesome.  :)

Oh, finally got brave enough to update my avatar.  I definitely want my hair to start growing faster, but when I looked at the new passport picture vs. the old one, it is striking how different I look these days.  I'll always be more masculine looking than I like, but I'm really liking how Tori is starting to look.  :)

I agree, you look great, and happy!

I think it's crazy how one email can change your day. I emailed the woman who did my very first makeover, asking for some advice on how to hide stubble, and she got back to me a minute ago, it's literally made me day. I feel so determined to ace my makeup.

My day was very meh prior to that. Slow at work, the usual level of dysphoria accompanying me everywhere I go

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

I lost almost all the weight I had put on over the last two weeks.
I did not eat much the last three days and will eat again when hungry.

Now, moderation is the key when eating but at times it is hard for me to NOT snack on foods that can put on weight.  Naughty, naughty.  I know that long term moderation is the key but sometimes I just simply ignore that fact!

I had a good workout earlier today too.

But that I guess is no biggie for all of you who have one about every day!   :)

That is awesome!

Do they have similar style choices to what you would pick?

I've had people do that for me. The nice thing is, if they have a different style it can lead you to clothes you wouldn't otherwise consider. I'm wearing a shirt right now that I never would have considered but now it's one of my favorites. If they don't work just pass them down the line.

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

I had a dear friend do that for me. We traveled from Florida to Tennessee to spend time with her and her husband, and to try on a literal roomful of clothes she'd set aside for me. There was so much that it took me five hours to try them all on. Even though she's a lot taller than me, about half of them fit. She had complained that she had dresses that she loved but were too short for her, and they fit me beautifully. With that new wardrobe I was finally able to purge the boy clothes completely.

I'll say it again: people are cool, and women especially. What a privilege to be accepted into that world.

Natalie, I am sure these girls won't be the last to offer you clothes! The women in my life have stepped up in a huge way, letting me pick out earrings, bags, scarves, makeup, clothes. And the best part is, they aren't sweating it at all--most women have lots of extra items that they are holding onto for one reason or another. Stephanie, I couldn't agree more that it's amazing to be accepted into the sisterhood! So happy to see all of the great news on this forum, as always.
