What made me happy today?

My girlfriend. 

Just being able to type that makes me happy!  This had been an unexpected development for both of us.  We are trans women, lesbian in orientation, and in our 60s.  That is effectively three strikes against us.  Neither of us expected to meet someone.  I certainly never expected to meet someone who would have the romantic interest in me that I need to connect. (I'm a demisexual as part of my orientation.). I never expected to fall for someone, and have them fall for me.

But, in spite of the odds, for some reason, it happened.

We've got these ridiculously strong feelings toward each other, but really don't quite know what to do with them.  Since they surfaced, she's left on an extended trip, but we communicate several times a day.  Neither of us knows where this will lead, what we should do next, or any of that practical stuff.  We are both just enjoying the ride, being able to experience feelings that I thought were dead and gone the past 40 years.

Being a lesbian myself (which is getting some use to saying), I think that's amazing. 

I don't know what the future holds for me but we'll see.  Maybe I'll be lucky in the future and be able to say the same thing down the Road of Life

After my roommate posted my video on her Facebook page I received a message from one of her friends.  It started out by saying she had been following the postings of the things my roommate and I had been doing saying it looked like we have a lot of fun.  Then she added "I had no idea you were trans."   It turns out she has a 16 year old trans daughter.  She said that when they watched the video about me they both cried.  I'm going to connect up with them and try to offer support for them.

When I first read this I was sort of in a state of surprise-shock, and now that its starting to really sink in I am just about to start openly weeping I'm so incredibly happy for the two of you!!!!! Closest emoji I could find that doesn't do it justice:

So at work, ive got a number of different work t shirts now of various sizes, some too.small most too big but theres on that fits just right .... said goldielocks it just happens to be a female cut t shirt. Well ive started to wear that when its clean and to add to that ive been wearing proper bras rather than hiding then.

I was soo petrified of the looks or responces i may get at 1st but all ive had is - god how much weight have you lost!?. Even had to do a twirl for 2 of the managers yesterday while they showered me with compliments. Im going to have to get some more of that size in female cut.

So now rockin clear long finger nails, no arm hair, less face side hair and neck, boobs and now a fem t shirt 1/2 the time.... and im not out yet to them.

I had an interesting semi waking dream that sort of started while I was asleep I guess and flowed into consciousness for a while? Not really sure. But regardless, I loved it. Basically was just a really down to earth and simple dream of me "post" transition living married, including a random trip to the beach or a pool, I'm not sure it was a dream so it was shifting, with me being hot in a bikini.

I soooooort of know why I had it (a conversation last night where I was complimented a few times).

I've mentioned before that I don't dream often (or at least don't remember it at all), but I've actually had a couple in the last month or so, and I was female both times in them. I'm so glad my subconscious is as happy as my conscious mind.
And yep, waiting on those bikini pics....

This is exactly the kind of thing I was getting too, before I came out there.  Oh, and one coworker commenting how much my appearance changed and saying, "Well, he'll probably show up in a dress the way he's been changing!"  (He really didn't know that, yes, that was likely in the future).

My good thing for today: Sitting in a bunch of meetings, hearing all the right pronouns, consistently, from all of my coworkers.  I still have to look around when someone uses "her" or "she" to refer to me, but it's really awesome!

Coming home to find white lilies in two favourite vases, placed there by the man I'm seeing. One on the coffee table, one on my dressing table.

Opening the fridge to find my favourite things were in there, and he'd even stocked the cupboard with wine. With a note saying 'don't drink it all you f***ing lush, save some for me X'.

Finding he'd scrubbed my bath out, changed my sheets, and perfumed them with my essential oils. Edit - the bed also had this months Vogue and Vanity Fair, the latest Private Eye, and the Financial Times and The Guardian all fanned out.

And left a letter saying he'll miss me during his conference trip and to enjoy quality time with my baby (another reason I won't be able to drink all the wine). As an addition he'd bought the baby a very cute jumper.
