...maple syrup, only😊

Ugh...my dad is like that. It has to be real maple syrup. I've tried substituting maple flavored syrup but it doesn't work. Once I even put maple flavored syrup in a maple syrup bottle but he could tell. You people with your syrup snobbery. Lol

Maple syrup is a Canadian plot - without it they'd be broke bloks :)

Gravy! I think it goes on alot but pancakes! Think it might be a lost in translation thing here, barncakes maybe:p

I just ate mine early. Orange juice and sweetener, then i realised sweetener and pancakes dontwork very well. Orange and sugar and then golden syrup and sugar.

The only reason i ate so many was cus no one else wanted any honest!

Lol, maybe so. But I've never liked sweet stuff. And I grew up having pancakes with stew and gravy on them. I guess it was weirder than I thought at the time, haha. They were always savory for me, so that's kinda how I always have them. I couldn't imagine putting anything sweet on them.

Yes! Very much like dumplings. Stew and dumplings was probably one of my favourite foods when I was a kid. Pancakes are like very big, round, flat dumplings lol.

Juila,

The real maple syrup does taste good.  At least it is natural sugar instead of corn syrup.
That flavored stuff is not the real thing, for sure.

My grandfather's farm in Quebec used to have a zillion maple trees and it was one of my rare, but favorite memories.  That's why maple syrup from up that way is a sacred part of my diet.     My maple addiction is hereditary.

Maple syrup, but then again why have pancakes when you can have homemade French toast.
