How much does laser hair removal cost/work with hormones?

It seems like you go once per month for 6 months and the hir grows back less and less. One place I called sells packages where it's 900$USD per area which has 6-8 treatments once a month. But since I have started hormones would it be better to buy individual treatments since by the time 6-8 months comes around I might not have nearly as much hair growing? I guess my question is how much do hormones help? Does your facial hair still grow just slower: would you have a beard if you never shaved or will it eventually all fall out?

For me the facial hair slowed down a very tiny amount.  I really need to start on laser myself but every place near me is expensive.

I would check and see if the package could be drawn out to 8 months or so and not in one month.

$900 for 6-8 treatments is similar to what I paid.  There are cheaper rates to be found but these prices vary wildly based on where you live.

HRT has had a negligible effect on facial hair growth rates.  It will not cause you to lose facial hair.

Hormones make very little difference. I never had a lot of facial hair but after 2 Laser sessions, I can see why I was told I need about 6 sessions. There was no dark hair left a week after the last session but now it has come back now. After that she thinks about 30 sessions of electrolysis...

And that is just the face.

I did look at multiple places and Ende up deciding for one of the more expensive ones. The others all had too many bad reviews. The place I go to now has transgender experience too. Cost is 150 for each laser and 59 for electrolysis but there she is offering packages, so I hope it will be around 40 per session...

My plan was to do 4-12 lasers and use electrolysis to finish up what the laser can't remove.

My technician and information on the internet says the ideal patient for laser is dark hair with a light skin complexion. I am very very fair skinned (I use 0.5 color in Urban Decay foundation) with medium-dark brown hair color there. Prior to starting a had a very thick facial hair.

I am currently on session 4 and started HRT about a bit before so I really can't definitively tell you what has had an exact affect. So the first session was by far the most painful and hurt the most. but on the plus side once the redness subsided it seemed to have a pretty large affect on the amount of hair growth. Each session after that got less painful but also less change. after the third session I noticed a substantial drop in dark hair growing back on my face. the only hairs after 4 sessions that seem to grow back are, as expected, blonde and red. my growth patterns are odd, growing in an almost streak like pattern.

The one interaction in this process I noticed was how translucent my skin has actually become. I noticed that hair growing under the skin (especially on my upper lip) has become more noticeable however it is quite easy to cover up with concealer/foundation and doesn't give me much problems after that.

I didn't buy the package so my sessions cost 350$ each if that helps. and no hrt as said by everyone else doesn't have an effect on facial hair, some cis women develop facial hair as well and use the same process to get rid of it :)

I had the same question about starting but what my tech said was that starting laser asap is better because while HRT doesn't change growth of the hair, it can change lessen the pigmentation of the hairs, making it harder to remove with laser. I don't know how true this is for facial hair, but hair elsewhere seems to be effected.

to be clear I still have to shave with laser, but its almost exclusively red/blonde hairs which is to be expected. Hair removal really does suck but its just one of those things we have to go through if we want it gone.
I refuse to let negativity define me, I've let enough of others define me for long enough, I'm going to be the person I set out to be even if that means I drag myself kicking and screaming over thresholds to become the most amazing version of me.
Cheesy? Maybe... but why should that stop me ;)

I did four sessions of laser on my face, then quit.  My facial hair slowed down, but not enough to skip removing it.  I'm doing 100% electrolysis now.  My reasons for stopping laser are:

- Most of my hair is white, so laser is of limited use.
- Estrogen makes my skin react to light.  After my last laser session (the first one on E), I have a large freckle on my cheek the size and shape of the laser probe.  I don't need that!

If you have a choice, get as much hair removal as possible done before you start HRT.  Male skin is less sensitive to pain than female skin.
