@ Sonja: I agree with your food list, I also like everything on it and perhaps there are more foods that can be added, but this is the "... most hated foods list" so I will refrain for now.

This morning I went to the store and bought a soup mix that my daughter has been wanting; brocolli & cheddar and makes a half gallon. While at the store I noticed strawberries on sale 2 for $5.00 and I had bought some chocolate chips a couple of weeks ago so she could make chocolate dipped strawberries - here I go again - Blood sugar watch out

My boyfriend and brother have a different saying when giving me chocolate. " some chocolate every day keeps the bitch away ". Both of them always give me chocolate when I get irritated with them. Lol

Their are no strawberries in the stores around where I live.... it's cold and there is still lots of snow on the ground here. I had a friend from California come to visit me last month and they brought strawberries and fresh oranges from Bakersfield. Friends bearing gifts like that are always welcome!!!

Mushrooms. They don't really have flavor, though admittedly I have a poor sense of taste, and I find their texture and consistency revolting.

The key to mushrooms is that yes, they don't taste so great by themselves but they are copiers of other tastes and acquire the characteristics of foods they are cooked with!

@ PollyQMcLovely: Oh no, for me there is nothing better than having a steak with a side of sauteed mushrooms and onions. Also mushrooms are good in so many casserole dishes like green bean casserole, chicken and rice casserole, etc... mushroom soup.... also raw mushrooms on my green salad are delicious.
Anyway, it is good that we all don't hate or even like all the same things, it would be a boring world if that was so. We are all entitled to our own food choices... but if I invite you to dinner please don't pick out the mushrooms from the food that I serve... LOL
