Hi,

I'm somewhat new to the site. I've been lurking for a year or two but haven't really interacted. So, a little bit about me: Personally I've always acted somewhat non-binary and dressed that way as well. I spent all my money that I earned during high school to get rid of body and facial hair. I didn't know until fairly recently, maybe last year or so, that alterations could be made to the skull to feminize it. I'm in my 30s now and I always thought facial plastic surgery was mainly for soft tissue changes, like face lifts. Now knowing that, and then doing a few months of research and consultations, I'm having FFS with Dr Keojampa in a couple months (Type III forehead, rhinoplasty, jawline reduction). Those were the three things about my face that always bothered me. I might ask about a tracheal shave as well, but I'm a bit scared something might happen to my vocal chords. I need to do more research into how often people's voices are affected by it. Mainly, I want to be able to blur the line between male and female and if I had a superpower, I would probably want to be a shape shifter. I have some feminine features, such as my waist, legs, and narrow frame but other features like, a long face, my height and creepily long spider fingers would probably make it difficult to pass as a female. Being completely 100% female would be neat but I'm ok with being androgynous or a somewhat feminine looking male.

A couple questions for those who have had FFS below, if anyone reads this. :)

- When do things get finalized, at the pre-surgery appointment the day before surgery? I'm a bit of a perfectionist and could probably write up a whole essay on the exact details about how I want my face to look with pictures, graphs and photoshop overlays.

- What things did you forget to bring with you to the hotel you were staying at during recovery that you wish you had? And which things are you glad that you did bring with you?

Thanks for listening to any of my ramblings!

First off, glad you are here and know you will find this a safe and informative web site for TG concerns. Please make use of the links section here for good resources and info .
regarding "finalized" . Not sure what you mean, but all my FFS questions and expectations and dr's advise were done in the time before surgery day. Surgery day was ALL about surgery. I must say...it was QUITE an experience. I had rhino.trach, eyelids, forehead shave and lift, lip lift, and breast augmentation all at once. ouch.....
I did not forget anything, but it was a setup where I went for recovery to a "recovery house " at the hospital. A plastic surgery center to be exact. I was there one full day and night, then home where a dear friend cared for me until I was fairly ok with getting about the house.
My doctor was very experienced in TG plastic surgery of all kinds, and I was completely trusting of him.

YMMV as they say, but that was my experience with that.

Thanks for the kind welcoming everyone!

In regards to things being "finalized", I guess what I'm trying to get at is, what is discussed during the pre-surgery appointment the day before? Is it just a checkup to make sure your health is ok?
