       Very cold, and snowing today.

I got home late yesterday afternoon after my workout with my gym-gals group and I was very cold so after I got into my sweats and while I was busy with doing some housework, I fired up the oven and made cookies... 

Here is the first of 3 batches of my Snickerdoodles that I baked last night....   nothing better than a just baked cookie still warm from being in the oven....   plus, after baking 3 dozen cookies, the heat from the oven helped warm up my entire house ... oh, and the smell of baking... so inviting...  one could probably gain weight just smelling the end result of baking the Snickerdoodles.

     

I took some to my office at work this morning and shared them with my clients and my visitors... also I gave a few to my Barista Suitor #5 when she brought me coffee.... she had put a pink lid on it too!!!

It has been a good day.....

Dear Hunted Prey followers, some may know that Northern Star*Girl Danielle and I have a relationship that transcends to the past when I had just become an Official Greeter myself.  We took a liking to each other and I feel we are fairly close.
Since she became an Official Greeter, she occasionally bakes cookies for the Moderators to enjoy.
She knows my favorite are "Butterfly Sugar Cookies w/ Sprinkles".
Come on girl...only one time for those??  She does make a delicious variety and those "Snickerdoodles" taste and smell wonderful!

Wow, a really gutsy call!  I admire your strength and convictions.  I am really glad that you got the acceptance you deserve from the community.

.....really? ... you read all 83 pages and 1640+ reply comments?  WOW !!!

About the only way to see where I have been and where I am now in my transition is to do what you did and read my thread... ... along the way you had the opportunity to see some of my photos and read about some of my adventures and my time that I came out to the entire town.... and my initial times with my sutors and my gym gals group..... and of course my Dental Hygienist.   
It was quite and emotional time for me for sure, thank you for allowing me to share it with you and my followers.

Yummy! The cookies look very delicious my dear Danielle! I am gaining weight just looking at them. So sweet of you to share them with your friends and clients (pun intended). Are you trying to get more customers for a certain Tooth Fairy?

I like the idea of using the oven to stay warm. Sorry to hear about the cold and snowy weather. At least you have your oven and your fireplace.

Thank you for your kind words and sharing your thoughts... and yes, I am always thinking of a certain tooth fairy but she has plenty of customers without the help of my cookies...

I am glad you liked my cookies.  They are were pretty darn good, everyone I shared them with said so.
Regarding the winter weather here, I love it... the fresh snow looks so beautiful and the cold crisp temperatures and clean air can be refreshing as long as I am dressed properly, the car heater works correctly, my snow tires have good tread and the heaters and furnaces in my office and at my home are in proper working condition.

I have just caught up, I've been busy and deliberately off the forum for a few weeks, now I find you have had an offer to spend a night away with (not so) shy guy, fell for your tooth fairy, friend zoned coffee shop barista, and baked a delicious batch of snickadoodles, which happen to be one of my favourites.

I'm happy for you that you have found someone to share your life with, I wish you both well [emoji254]

It does sound incredibly cold where you are, and I'm bet you are pleased you winterised your house sooner rather than later, it's getting quite warm here so it's hard to imagine the cold.

Hi Danielle,

  It would seem I've been caught napping for a few days. Truth be told that is exactly what I've been doing for the last three days thanks to some muscle relaxers I've been taking. I've been told I'm a pain in the neck but I thought it meant in others necks not my own.

  Well it appears that I wake up to find you've been sleeping in the arms of #4. Did it entail any tears as reported by our diminutive ((St)((e)ph(a)(n)i)e) and my loverly Michelle? (though I do not recall said tears when she woke. I've caused her many other tears though (a legacy of MeanRotten) I am sure) I am sure your was sweet and..

   YES!! #4  id declared "The Winner"!!  Not that I am biased in her favor...

  I am happy for you both  And I am surely sympathetic with your comment: "Just to be clear, I am NOT planning anytime soon to accept any engagement or wedding proposals or living together arrangements with any of my suitors. " Some of your fans here are known for jumping to conclusions with no basis in fact.

Yes, as you stated, some of my fans think that I am about to get engaged to #5....   but as I said, and you noticed, I am not ready to go that far quite yet.... slow and careful has always been my plan....  this is all new stuff and new emotions for me so I have to use both my brain and heart to figure out what my future holds.

Exactly the point... I think that all we want is a decent, loving and caring suitor...  in the end, only one is needed.   
That is the reason why I am so slow in progressing forward with my relationship decisions....  these are all brand new emotions and it is important to let common sense help control the runaway heart emotions.....

Any advice for us lonely lover Seekers as to how we can possibly end up with five suitors so that way we have a very diverse group to choose from as a primary Suitor and hopefully marriage and stuff like that any advice please please

I always try to keep my panty stocked with the things needed for cooking and baking... up here where I live I never know when I will be snowed in for a few days.

We are still in a major Santa Ana wind event. Things seem to die down during the night if the winds slow down. It's a false sense of security because the wind always kick up again just before dawn and continue throughout the day. Normally the winds blow day and night. New hot spots and flare-ups are popping up all over the southland. The smoke filed night sky in Simi Valley and surrounding areas has had a red glow for the past 4 or 5 days. It's very wind again today. Roads are still closed to the west in Oak Park and they finally opened the 118 FWY at Rocky Peak Rd last night. New flare-up in Thousand Oak, Westlake, Malibu and Calabasas areas. There are still mandatory evacuation orders in place in the surrounding areas. The combined wild-fires are swiftly approaching 100,000 acers and some 400+ homes destroyed and still less than 15% contained. The internet, cable and cellphone services have been intermittent at best. The Santa Ana event has been extended through tomorrow and may continue into the weekend. The damage is still being assessed.

And that's just my neck of the woods. The NorCal wild-fires, known as "The Camp Fires" are 5+ times worse. I'm just getting bits and pieces of information from our families up north. The NorCal Camp Fire is the largest wild-fire in the history of California.

We keep watch on the news when it's available and poke our head out when it's not. My biggest fear is there is still a lot of unburned brush in Simi Valley. So far, the Simi Valley Fire Department as done an outstanding job at knocking down the flare-ups before they get out of hand. I was a young child the last time the Simi hills went up in flames. It was hell back then. It would be worse today.

I guess for your home and property, so far, so good....  I trust that all of that will get over with soon .
If the winds were to calm down and California got a nice gentle rain that would help a lot...  how about some snow that I am getting here lately? 

Regarding SNOW:  So far this morning we have had a fairly heavy snowfall
of about 4 inches with up to 8+ inches forecast by the end of today.   
Looks so beautiful!

So Donica, are you going to bake some cookies soon?   What kind are your favorites to make???

I can't speak for the rest of the Californians but those of us in the fire zones would love some rain and snow right now.

My favorate cooky? Hmmmm, that's a tough one. For the sake of maintaining the health of what little teeth I have left, I will say Oatmeal Raisin. Although I also love the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip, chocolate chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies.

The Snickerdoodle cookies you just baked, are they lemon flavored? I could sooo go for lemon cookies too.
