@Alaskan Danielle

Thank you for the pic of your yummy turkey leftover soup!
I have enough to last me the next few days.  It's all I'll be eating for a while....soup, or anything soft.  I'm opting for premade to take up the slack.
Give me a hug, I need one, nervous about it all.

Hugs, Jess

@Jessica
My dear Jess:
Before I leave to go to the home of my ToothFairy #4 for the evening,  I was about to write you a reply comment on your Jess's Mess thread to wish you well with your surgery tomorrow morning.

I know full well that you are very nervous about this all.... I definitely would be nervous myself...
and I am trusting that you will be able to calm your nerves and that the outcome of the surgery will be as good as it can possibly be.

Try to rest well tonight, and I will definitely be sending up a prayer for you tonight and I will be thinking of you tomorrow morning.
I would only ask that you please, as you are able, to keep me informed of what is happening regarding this.

Many HUGS, and even more HUGS for you, my good friend Jess!!!
Best wishes to you as always,
Danielle

Thank you Danielle, as I mentioned in my PM to you that my surgeon is the top laryngeal specialist for Kaiser here.  I feel confident I'll be just fine.
You will be one of the first I will contact when I'm able.

Danielle, your soup looks delicious!  I'm surprised that you do not have a snow thrower or other equipment to take care of the snow.  Certainly it would be a good investment in Alaska?   Take care of your back while shoveling.

They shake their heads, they say I've changed
Well something's lost, but something's gained

@JudiBlueEyes
Dear Judi:
Thank for your thoughts.   Yes, my hot turkey soup hit the spot on this cold Sunday afternoon.

I do own a snow-blower and I use it frequently.  I can not use it on my deck or front sidewalk so I have to shovel it... but I can and do use it on my long driveway.
My driveway from my garage to the main street is about 600 feet so even with the snow-blower it is quite a chore ....  I was planning to shovel and snow-blow on my day off yesterday/Saturday morning but my guy friends came early before I woke up... and their big plow truck did the driveway in short order and the other guy did all the shoveling as I was making coffee for them....   very nice friends to have for sure.

Thank you for following and posting on my thread.  You are always welcome here.
Best wishes to you as always,
Hugs,
Danielle

@RealLacy
Yes indeed, you are correct...
...and the list of "helpful" guys (and gals too) keeps growing....  I have had "help" offers from others as well.

I sure don't think that I look like a helpless woman... but...
... I will gladly accept all offers, then I can provide what I do best, meals,
cookies, coffee, and a friendly personality.

OH, and another thing,
Lacy ...  I absolutely love your new Avatar/Profile picture!!!
You look absolutely wonderful and have great feminine facial features.
Your face, eyebrows, complexion, hair, lipstick, etc...all look great.

Thank you for following my thread and for posting your thoughts.  You are always very welome here.
Hugs, and well wishes as always,

...In a couple hours I am going to get ready to go to my ToothFairy's #4 home early this evening to have snacks and maybe a card game, and/or perhaps wine and conversation by her fireplace...  maybe even more "toasty toes" time?  ;)

Thanks for listening and reading.

Dear Chrissy:
Thank you for your thoughts.
Yes, for sure, I had a wonderful evening with my Dental Hygienist suitor #4  (aka: my tooth-fairy)
We had snacky stuff to munch on while we played Cribbage and then we played a game of Scrabble.  After the games she did indeed open a bottle of wine and we sat down in front of her fireplace and talked and talked and talked....  and using the excuse that it is cold outside her house, perhaps a little cuddling too!  ;)  ::)

Again Chrissy, thanks for reading and following and commenting on my thread... you are always welcome.
Hugs,
Danielle

UPDATE   NOVEMBER 27, 2018   1:00PM

My Dental Hygienist Suitor #4 (aka: ToothFairy) wants to plan a shopping trip to the big city with me before Christmas... sounds good to me but I may have unconfirmed travel plans to fly down to see my parents for Christmas...  if not at Christmas I will perhaps take that long trip to see them in January or February.
As has been the case since I announced my transition plans over 4 years ago they still won't pick up the phone very often when I call... so I still can not confirm my visit plans.  :(  *sad face*

Certainly the "Christmas time" shopping trip sounds like a nice and enjoyable thing to do.
Last spring on April 19th I went on the big city shopping trip with a few of the ladies
from my gym gals group (with 3 cis ladies including #4)

Because of the distance and long drive it is usually a over-nite trip, sometimes 2 nights....  back then I had shared a room with #4 and I was so very nervous.   I won't be so nervous next time!!! ;)

In case you missed reading about that event, here are couple of LINKS to my comments on my thread that describes that most enjoyable shopping trip...

Such a Christmas shopping trip sounds like a lot of fun, not only for the shopping part but also for the social aspect of it. I remember from the last trip you all had a chance to dress nicely and go out as well in the big city. I also remember how nervous you were about sharing a room. How times have changed, no need to be nervous this time!

It breaks my heart to read (once again) about the ongoing troubles with your family. I wish they could see the incredibly lovely person you are and we all love and know. I hope they will pick up their phone so you can continue your planning. It takes an incredible amount of strength on your end. I am still holding on to them accepting you one day. You do deserve a HUGE HUG here!

Thanks for keeping your dear readers up to date on your adventures up north!

Hugs,

Sarah

Danielle, I am sorry that your family does not wish to communicate with you.  That must be terribly hard to bear, especially for such an outgoing person as you.  Good for you for giving them the opportunity.  I hope their attitude improves.

I hope you have an enjoyable shopping trip with Sweet #4, whenever you are able to schedule it.  Relax and have fun!

Dear Danielle!
I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble communicating with your family. I know how hard this can be especially during the holidays where families are such a big part of. I too hold on to the hope that they will except you. How could they not except such a wonderful person like you. They would if they knew you like we do.

A shopping trip to the big city with ToothFairy #4 sounds like just the thing to do for Christmas. After a day of shopping, the two of you getting all dressed up for dinner and a movie or a night of dancing or all of the above sounds like exciting fun.

I was thinking, you know, if you became one of those Alaskan bush pilots, you and #4 could make trips to the big city a regular thing ;D

Stay warm! Big hugs!
Donica.

Dear Ladies:
Thank you so very much for your kind comments regarding my tentative Christmas-time travel plans to visit my parents and old aquaintences back home.   Your responses certainly get to the heart of the matter regarding acceptance and forgiveness of which I have continued to seek with my parents since I announce my transition plans over 4 years ago.

I will not give up, I will not surrender....   my personality also contains quite a bit of a tenacious spirit which might be sometimes evident here on my Forums postings when asking for updates on some of the member's threads that I follow regularly!!!  :)

Regarding the pre-Christmas shopping trip, if that happens it will defintiely be a wonderful time....  as you may know from some previous comments that I made in the past I have decided to not go on that kind of overnight trip
with my not-so-shyguy suitor #3....   and before I could ask her, my ToothFairy Suitor #4 brought up the idea of her and I going on a Christmas shopping trip.  <3

I will keep you all posted, and again, thank you for the kind sharing of your thoughts.
Hugs and well wishes,
Danielle

Danielle it really seems like the Tooth Fairy Suitor number 4 would be an ideal match for you she seems like a real sweetheart y'all seem to get along great and have a great time she's also very respectful from how you describe her I think she would definitely be a winner for you

Hi Danielle,                       28 November 2018

I wouldn't fret over non acceptance by your family. Yes it would be nice if they would accept you, which they should. There is no valid reason for them not to. Since their reasoning is invalid you have nothing to forgive; they're the ones that are in the wrong and owe you an apology. My parents are gone and I know they wouldn't accept me either. That would be their problem and they would have to live with it if they were still wasting oxygen.

You have many friends here at Susan's, at your home in Alaska and elsewhere, they are the important people in your life. You can choose your friends; you can't choose your family.

Since you haven't mentioned the "Faker" shy-guy #3 in quite awhile, I am hopping and assuming you have ditched him completely. The cop in me and my gut instinct says he is not to be trusted. Stick with your Tooth Bunny who I think is in love with you and you with her.

Wishing you and Tooth Bunny a very Blessed Christmas and New Year.

Best Always, Love
Chris

Hi Danielle,

So sorry to hear about your parents.  You're a wonderful, caring person, how anyone would not want someone like you in their life is beyond me.  It's definitely their loss.

As for the tooth fairy, I concur with the crowd.  She sounds great for you.  It's interesting how so many of us have come to the same conclusion and our only opinion of her is based entirely on your writing.  I think you're giving your hand away :)

Take care,
Paige :)
