Dietlind, don't get in such a hurry, that you don't do a good job of selecting the best surgeon for you.  Do you have enough material for the normal penile inversion procedures?

I wish that I could take a proper picture to share. Every full body reflection that I have seen as I walked around at work today has been her. I'm making excuses to take extra walking trips just so that I can see her.

I'm trying to curb the excitement that I feel to avoid depression rebound - knowing that tomorrow and the next day and the next will not be so flattering. This one day out of so many dark really lifts my spirits.

I am very glad to hear that, Faith!  Just enjoy the feeling when it happens.  And remember today when the evil mirror lies to you.

I should because I was not circumcised and have all that skin still around.  But I am going for minimum depth anyway (probably can donate the extra skin to a tissue bank?  >:-)).
I am a little limited in my selection, because Florida Medicare pays only if it is done in Florida.  I am retired and on a fixed income, I cannot do thousands of $$ out o my pocket!

Dietlind, do check out the surgeon you go with. You want to happy with the results so check what others think of this surgeon results. You don't want to use a surgeon just because they are located in Florida.

The problem is that the insurance will not pay for outside Florida.  I cannot afford to pay that kind of cost out of pocket!

Three ladies from my support group had it done in Florida at a certain doc, and they are happy about their result.  It is the same surgeon, who also did the specialised training for my therapist, and she also recommends him.

I have to send out my feelers and see what else I can find out!

"Five shillings for the possessed toy" Linde faceapp keeps incorrectly gendering me as female already so your saying if I fix up, give the house to the kids and come to Florida Medicaid will help me become "a real boy"?

Have a few years before I can "collect". Why not just skip the orchi and go for the real thing? You said your support group is primarily "gay"? Feel guilty 'bout last surgery I didn't "with hand hold" let me know if someone needed! (ps: orchi no biggie been there watched dat already!)

Congratulations!  I am working on my looks or the upcoming beach season.  I like manatees pretty OK, but I do not want to look like one!

Thanks! I can totally understand that you don' want to look like a manatee at the beach :) I've never been into spending time at beaches, one of the reasons were that I really disliked my body and for that reason I really didn't like showing it publicly but I feel that may change in the future. I think if I can loose another 10 kilos while keeping some muscle I'll be good to start hormones.

Chloe, the orchi is really a medical necessity for me.  My testes hurt so bad, I have to be careful how I walk or sit down!
Each time I try to sit, I have to spread my legs as wide as I can, to make sure the babies do not get squished a all.  They hurt even if I just touch them.  Most of my day it feels as if somebody kneed me down there, and I can hardly wait to get them extracted.  Waiting for a place in line or a SRS would require a way to long wait with those hurting balls!  I have to do it one step in time.

The mainly gay group is the local LGBTQI Meetup group, and I feel like an absolute outsider there.  I go to another trans support group, and I feel good there.  It helps that my therapist is the facilitator of it!
Well, yes, give the house away, become a real guy, and you can become a room mate of me.  I have a rather large house, and it is only about 30 minutes to the most beautiful beaches n the world.  While I try to impersonate a manatee in a bathing suit, you could run around in speedos, and look like any other male tourist from Europe!

Think about the almost unlimited possibilities!

It seems to be very hard to lose weight when on HRT, because estrogen seems to work overtime to deposit fat on new areas of my body that used to be plain muscles only.  But yet, I am getting thinner in some areas of my body.  My arms are definitely part of tem, because my watch is sliding around on my arm, it used to fit pretty tight few weeks ago.  I also feel that my waistline go a little thinner, not nearly to the point i want it to be.  But I looked at a lot of cis women of my age, they have no better waist than i have, but sometimes even a bigger one!  Whatever I do and loose, I am afraid that I am a little late in the game to ever be able to wear a string bikini, a full body burlap bag would suit me better!

@Dietlind
Dear Linde:
Your experience regarding weight loss/gain with HRT is quite a common report but there are also other reports, and my own experience that I found it "perhaps" easier to lose weight.

I started out as short, skinny, no muscles or body mass, etc....  HRT for me even went further, I have thin arms and wrists and thin legs and at fairly narrow waist and good hips and bust measurements....  I even dropped one or  two shoes sizes and lost an inch in my height....

Certainly the saying here on the Forums is at work here....    YMMV
                                Your Mileage May Vary
As you already know, every unique body reacts to HRT in it's own unique way.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Hugs,
Danielle

Danielle your report sounds so encouraging.  I would love to lose a size in my shoes (the selection is so much larger).
But I am afraid that my intersex syndrome (Klinefelter, and other mutations), decided that I have the typical large body (6' in my case) will not allow many changes to my body (except those created by loosing weight), because my by is pretty female in appearance to start what.  I think I will just remain to be a tall girl!
Thank you very much to plant a little hop into the mind of a tall old girl!

While on subject of losing weight (not as hard 4 real boys?) am food FASTING today for three reasons: 1) it's easier than cigarettes 2) promised guys at church group I'd pick something for one day before Weds night and, perhaps most importantly, 3) am very nervous have 1st job interview ever coming up where I'm not cutting my hair, presenting en femme but in appearance only, not "dress".
Am cheating again, of sorts, because daughter works there and, being well liked (runs in family ;) of course) boss asked her first "should I hire your dad(?)" and she said yes!
"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!

Briefly spoke to manager yesterday they'll pay what I asked. There's so many things to do "for me" and around house the extra cash will help! Solar system is over due for a maintenance upgrade 8 new deep-cycle batts and another kilo-watt of panels would be great!

Great with the job!  Aren't the Tesla batteries available yet?  Up north I had a photovoltaic and a medium operated solar setup, and I used already the deep cycle marine batteries.
Interesting enough, I live in the most sunniest area in the US, and by far most people have no solar systems!  Some have those primitive black mats to heat their swimming pols!

Si seƱora pero mucho dinero! You did solar? Knew you were SMART (lol too?) I also prefer the group 29 Marine Walmart Everstart Lead Acid specials which are good for 5 years if you don't excessively cycle them. 2 parallel banks of 4 series connected for a total of 48v DC driving an Outback 3.6kw off-grid inverter! Currently have 9 Astronergy 230w panels (2kw total) with roof space for another 1kw (3 more 335's) which will make better use of the 4kw FlexMax 80 MPPT charge controller.

It's a fully automatic system that switches between sun, grid and generator depending on what batt voltage breakpoints are set at.

The things one dreams about! Much residential solar going on in Florida? That would be the ideal JOB for me! I also play with hydrogen generators would love to use that for storage rather than "batts" and run a full-cell instead!
