My papers where sent out to Montreal atleast 41 days ago and I have still  heard nothing :(. It is a little disappointing as I really want to have a vagina now. I have wanted on since, well I'm not sure its been on my mind for so long I can't recall. But the past year or so since I began to truley embrace that I am female it has been on my mind. How long has it taken for anyone who has seen dr Brassard to get that consultation with his office for a date and how long is the general wait?

Be patient! It was was about eleven months from the time my doctor sent the referral to my surgery date. I did not hear anything from them for the first couple of months. I did phone to check on the status and to make sure all that was necessary was complete. My date was not set until just about six weeks before my date. I think I got a cancelation! I would recommend that you phone if you have not heard anything after a couple of months. They have a long list. Be friendly and they will be more likely to be the same. One you have a contact in the office, it is easier to communicate via email. There were nine women in the recovery centre with me, and I had the shortest wait time. Other girls from Canada had anywhere from 18 months to over two years.

Your referral will get processed. I know it is hard to wait. It was for me. I too wanted it like yesterday! You will get achieve you goal. Hugs! Kelly

I know when I was investigating surgeons his office took a solid two months to respond.  By then I had moved on.  I hear he's a great surgeon but his office is a tad bit slow.  I wouldn't be bashful about reaching out to inquire.
But now old friends they're acting strange
They shake their heads, they say I've changed
Well something's lost, but something's gained
In living every day.
