Numb Clitoris, Irritating Scab

Sorry to bring up what will likely be pointless worry.

I had surgery on the 27th of March with Dr. Gallagher. Everything looks great so far, except for the clitoris. Most of it is fine, pink and healthy. But there is this clot/scab either over or beside the clit. The skin around the clit is constricting as the swelling lessens, but now the scab is cutting into the skin because of this. The clit itself is exposed and visible, as the surgeon said is normal. But she also said most women have at least some feeling by now. It is 100% numb. I experience arousal, but cannot climax(believe me, I tried). And I finally have this sensation, which I can best associate with the penis head being squeezed, poked and at times a little burning. I really can't tell where the irritation is happening. Is this the clitoris nerves waking up?

This is a very recent development. I went for my follow-up on the 20th and she said everything was fine. And I'll probably call if the irritation doesn't go away.

Does any of this sound bad?

I bad a small bit of dead skin in the clit. It healed very well. I had a micro penis and the total glands penis was used and it stayed in place. I had very little length.

You had surgery and nerves were cut. The nerves reconnect and then feeling is restored. B6 was recommended to me form my surgeon for nerve restoration. You may take longer for the nerves to reconnect.

Ah, thank you. I'll hunt down some B6! It's funny, when I touch the clit, my fingers shake like crazy as though my body thinks that's the danger zone.

Any advice for helping a scab dissolve? It's about 1/3 the size of the exposed clit. But it's super thick and hard as a rock.

You could stick some neosporin or TAO on it, then a bandage.. the ointment will help soften up any scabbed tissue and will also help wound healing.   If you had vitamin D in cream form or even aloe that might help.

The neosporin is a great idea. I'm not sure a bandage will work on the current terrain. It's like the peak of a mountain between 2 other mountains with steep valleys. It's so frustrating because it's in the absolute worst position for treatment!

packed sterile gauze & medical tape.  It does wonders. :)  If you have to wear a maxi pad snug against you to hold in the ointment.

There are also things like steristrips, tegaderm, other stuff. Just ask your local pharmacy for help... just say its to hold something on a wound, don't have to be too specific.

Oh, duh. I clearly lack creativity.

Those are all really good ideas. I at least have the maxi pad for now, and I'll visit my coworkers and grab some supplies in the morning! Anyway, thank you. You've been a big help.

I have one last question. It's somewhat related, so I didn't want to start another thread.

Will the clitoris descend or be covered by the hood as I heal? Because when it does wake up, it's gonna be a living hell as it's just sticking out.

I'm at 8 months and my Clitoris' is finally fully hooded all the time and looking quite normal. It protruded for quite awhile and still does occasionally because the entire area engorges sometimes duo to random stimukation. I found that nerve regeneration for me went from numbness to stabs of oain, then hypersensitivity and finally to normal feeling. Some have taken months

That is pretty reassuring. I have at least mild feeling everywhere but the clit. I do think I get surges of pain to the scabbed part of it though(I can finally tell what goes where, nerve-wise). The hood is actually the most sensual part of me right now.

I've also noticed when I press on the clit, I do feel a tiiiiny bit of pressure and I didn't before.

Thank you, you've all been a big help. I'll just be patient and take the occasional vitamin.
