So after "going full time" and changing all of my legal status, I have been considering my feelings regarding SRS for myself.  Soul searching has cemented that path as true and so I am preparing to get on the waiting list.  I understand that the internal preparation is actually key, but the timers and keys to insurance compliance are also very important.

I have been on HRT for almost three years, "full time" for over two and my primary therapist agrees that I am making a sound decision.  I am going to start with a second therapist that my insurance will be covering, so the two letter requirement will be fulfilled within 6 months of surgery.  I have also started hair removal "down there".

This journey started a long time ago and has encompassed my entire life.  It feels like I have come a long ways and yet I feel like I have always actually been here.  What an awesome journey life is and I am now ready for a pretty major change! :)

Thank you everyone who has gone before, you are lighting the way.  Thank you for everyone at the same point as I am now, you keep me going with the hopeful vision of a near future.  Thank you for all that are just starting, you help me to see that I am making progress even when it feels like I am sitting still.

When you've looked deep inside, weighed all the options and know you're making the right choice, the world brightens up a notch, doesn't it?  :)

Hugs, Devlyn

It really really does Devlyn!  When I started this journey, SRS was safely off in the distance.  I knew about SRS, but it felt academic and suddenly it feels like a really near step!  I wish I could avoid the sure to come second guessing, doubts and fear...but that is part of the journey it would seem.
