As one of the best days of my life...
Just at the drive thru picking up some quick dinner - I'm drilling for the Navy for the next couple days, which means I'm presenting female, while I'm in my room and if I go out-
In any case, long line at the drive thru, so they have employees taking order outside-
And when I pulled up?
Hello MA'AM, what can I get for you?
Whether she was being polite or not....I DON'T CARE. The smile that it brought made my face hurt.
First. Time. Ever.
Can't post a pic yet. But when I can, I'll update the post with how I was presenting.

Hi Christyn, 09 May 2018
Welcome to Susan's Place. I hope you are new here. I'd feel terrible if you have been here for 15 or 20 years and me just now getting around to welcoming you.
I wanted to be first to thank you for your Navy service, but DawnOday beat me to it. I think I remember something about the Navy; weren't they invented in 1963?
I'm glad you're not as young as I am; you are over 18 aren't you? That's right, you're in the Navy so you have to be at least 18 unless your folks signed your rights away.
All kidding aside, thank you for your service to our country; there are a couple of your sisters and brothers here at Susan's Place. Devlyn has a thread called "Roll Call" where service members, good or bad, can let the world know they are here. Here's the LINK:
https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,96755.0.htmlI would have posted on his thread but was rejected because I wasn't good enough for the bad. I've got to work on that.
During the Gulf war I tried to join the Army, Marine Corp, Air Force, Navy, Girl Scouts and the Salvation Army. Broke my heart, I was still a reject. I never gave up though, I finally landed a job as a cop. Eventually lost that job; wrote too many speeding tickets for people driving 25 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
After that I decided to get a job in transition; it was something I had heard about and thought it would be a nice career change. On Friday the 13th of this year they sent me to a center to prepare me for my new career. They gave me some stuff to make me sleepy so I could catch a quick nap, which I liked.
That nap seemed quite short, maybe 30 minutes or so. Once I was fully awake I got up to get dressed. I noticed I was wearing some strange underwear. They looked like boy shorts for a gorilla, stuffed with bunches of fluffed up gauze.
I was wondering what they added down there to necessitate all that padding. Decided to take a look to see what the gave me; holy ****, I now had "GoneNads."
I looked around for someone in charge; found a guy and asked him what was going on. He explained I applied for the transition position and was accepted, so they transitioned me... to FEMALE. Then I asked where are my family jewels? He said they sent them to the lavatory. What a fate for my jewels; carted them around with me almost 78 years and with one quick flush they're history.
Funny thing about that transition job. I thought they were going to pay me. Turns out they sent me a bill for $3250.00. Don't think I'll do that again.
I noticed we have something in common; our names are close, just spelled differently.
DawnOay, In and out Burger has the most complex menu I have seen. it takes up a whole half page. I have a tough time trying to figure out what I'm going to order. I usually spend a couple of hours deciding on exactly what I want. That place is owned by the Snyder family of California. They pay their store managers over $100,000.00 per year. That's a lot better paying than the transition job I got; and that's a fact Jacklyn.
Christyn, wishing you a Happy and Successful Transition.
Best Always,
Christine
