Right, need some help peps, im CONSIDERING looking at surgery to make my jaw narrower, as i utterly HATE it, its my one hangup... im thinking a non trans specialist surgeon would be better or cheaper? as its just one thing... the rest of my face i fine, thats why i dont want to see the expense and travel for a ffs specialist, so any uk or eauropean suregons i could see that wouldnt require passport (eu) or inside the uk? and how much might something like this cost?

If you reduce just the jaw width (not the chin), assure yourself that you chin to bottom nose distance is about the same the bottom of nose to in between upper eyes distance or you may look worse. If its not the case, then your chin will look longer with a narrower jaw line and you face will look long.

ive seen how i want to look, ive done the photoshop work, it just requires the rounding off of the jaw, and narrowing of the chin itself, my jaw i dont mind, i guess i phrased it wrong... its the chin itself. i want it narrower, possibly a tiny bit shorter, but just a fraction narrower and id be happy... that, or make my mouth bigger  (wider) :P

Sounds like you can do some jaw shaving and a chin implant Rachael.

I have seen this done on two girls in Thailand, very effective.

As for travel, you still need a passport going between EU countries, its a legal requirement still.

There are a few Surgeons in the UK who can do this type of work, check out Brian Musgrove in Manchester, who does work with TS BUT started off as a true Maixillo-Cranial Facial surgeon, reconstructing the faces of car crash and facial accident victims.

like i said, im sure there are some cosmetic surgeons who will do this as a simple job, trans or not...
and what happened to the european free travel zone?

I'm really not detecting any probs with your jaw, at least nothing 'male' about it. But there's nothing wrong with changing a feature that bothers you for whatever reason. I would think there would be non-trans specific surgeons who could do this. And greater pickings at that. Don't know enough about cosmetic surgeons though.
Okay. That wasn't very helpful. lol

no, your right, thats my point... its one feature i want to change. and im making a big guess that it will be cheaper than going to a ffs surgeon who will likely add more to the bill and convince me its needed...i personally just dislike my chin. as a girl, who doesnt like her nose, or breasts, or lips... i just want to be prettyer, not more female looking...

I understand what you mean, R. I've got a long pointy chin, and I swear it's gotten pointier! It's weird, and bothers me sometimes. But then, if I got rid of it I don't know what else I'd have to do to balance it out.

Apparently there's a surgeon in my own city that does FFS, and for the men, chest reconstruction. I'm considering calling him up and setting up a consultation, so I can at least get an idea of things that could be possible, etc. It's very hard for me to figure out just by looking at myself, because I can be pretty hard on myself at times (even though I try not to).

Oh, and of course, it's not FFS so that I can "pass" be seen as my target gender. I'm already there, and I'm pretty sure that things are going to keep improving even more as time goes on. It's just more about my own personal satisfaction rather than that. But of course, you mention FFS to some people and they go off like you're insane.

I don't know if I'll get it for sure or not. I know that I don't "need" it, but I'm just curious about the possibilities. It's like my roommate, I think her nose is cute, but she doesn't like a slight bump in it. She doesn't need the surgery in order to socially survive -- she enjoys her life like the next girl. But with her it's something that bothers her and she'd like to get it fixed for herself.
