I just got the report from my urologist concerning my injured testes. They are fully non-functional for sperm and barely dribbling any T . This explains why the Spiro has been so effective since my injury.
How silly it was. I swung a leg over a saddle stool and sat on them and crushed them both. Now one is like a raisin and the other like a duck egg. God I hate them!
So the good news is I am having an orchiectomy this summer and when he brought up hormone replacement I told him I wanted estrogen/progesterone. Not T. He looked at me quizzically and I told him straight out I wanted the effects of estrogen not T. He asked why and I said aside from my Lifelong gender dysphoria, the effects of estrogen are more correct for me. Reduced insulin resistance, increased bone density, and some cardio protective benefits not associated with the clotting risk I already address medically.
To say he was taken aback is mild but he will be prescribing estrogen and if tolerated well add progesterone post surgery.
It is tempting to say my journey has begun but in reality it began almost 56 yrs ago when I was a daughter not a son.
My wife, what a woman! Says she looks forward to the day I have a butt and boobs. I told her me too and I think it hit home I am serious about fixing the broken thing I had become.
FWIW this is the WORST way to get an orchiectomy. I have been in mild to severe pain physically and mentally for two yrs getting here. That said I am getting rid of my biggest dysphoric trigger.
Today life seems good.
