Ok, good news is I found a clinic that will help with HRT. Bad news, I don't have insurence. How do you go about getting insurence and how do you claim things like hormones? Any people know some decent prices for a 21 year old?

Thanks again! ^^

I have insurance through my work.  However, you may be able to get insurance through your state, but there may also be a waiting list.

Insurance? What's that?! ... A.k.a., sorry I'm no help here... at all. Well, other than to say it'd very possible to manage without insurance.

Hello Luana,

I'm afraid that I can't help you being here in Canada.  Check your States web site and see what you can find under Medical Insurance...  That's all I can think of right now.  I'm sure that there is someone out there who can help.  What State are you in?  Also if you get an Honerable Discharge from the Military will there be any medical benifits available too you?

Research who offers insurance in your area and find a payment plan you can afford that will give you a decent amount of coverage.  Look to see if there is anything stated that sexual reassignment is not covered (therapy, hormones, surgery).

Luana,

In my state there are several options for people without insurance (state agencies, and sliding scale payment health clinics) that will assist you with your transition and HRT.

if you are still looking for some help\information Please be all means let me know.
