Hard to Orgasm after ALT Phalloplasty

Hi everyone

I'm a transguy who had ALT Phalloplasty last December, so I'm technically about 7 months post op.

My procedure didn't involve the clitoral nerve hook up because my surgeon says there's too big of a risk to loose all sexual sensation if you harvest one of the two clitoral nerve branches.

I know this isn't quite true, and that nobody has lost sensation since you're keeping one branch. But since the surgeon was my only option and since he said that I'll be able to orgasm by stimulating the buried clitoris with no problem, I went for it.

It's been 7 months since the initial surgery, and it seems to be getting harer and harder to stimulate my clitoris. It takes a really long time for me to reach an orgasm, and sometimes I just give up masturbating because I get tired of jerking off for more than an hour. Orgasms aren't as intense as before surgery either.

Also, my sex drive seems to be really low and it's hard for me to get off. I've never had sex before, it's hard to say what it would be like in that situation.

Has anyone else had this experience?

Maybe there's a different reason for me not being able to orgasm or get off, like low T levels, etc.? I haven't had a blood check for a pretty long time so I don't know how high they'd be.

I'm considering going to California (Brownstein & Crane's since I hear many good reviews from other transguys who've had surgery there) to get a clitoral nerve hook up if that's possible for patients who have undergone surgery by a different surgeon. I really don't want the rest of my life to be miserable because I can't orgasm! Damn.

Any sort of advice or experience (opposite experiences are fine, too) would be highly appreciated!
