Hello all! I decided to check out this site on recommendation of my girlfriend and I must say, this seems like a great place to be and so I've decided to register. My actual name is Kelly, but I like using little cutesy online names so whichever you prefer is fine by me. Basically, I am here because I am a GG dating a transsexual girl (who hasn't begun transition yet) and I just wanted to find a few like-minded people to chat with and learn from. However, I am a little different than a lot of the significant others that I've been reading about (in books, not here) because I chose to date my girlfriend already knowing what was what and so didn't suffer any shock or grief over the issue (not that I'm unsympathetic to those who have, it's just that I haven't experienced it). But because that's all that I seem to find in all the other support areas for significant others, I feel slightly out of place, and this place seems so diverse that I am hopeful that I will find a place to fit in. Now that I have all that out of the way I will finish introducing myself. I am 25 years old and I live in Plattsburgh, NY. I like anime, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, karaoke bars, Harry Potter, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, and chocolate. I proudly call myself a geek (or nerd, or otaku, whatever) I am working towards returning to college but I haven't quite figured out what exactly I want to do...all I know is that I want a career helping others. I am currently working at Wal-Mart but hold a certificate as a CNA (nurse aid) so I've thought about going back for nursing but I'm interested in psychology, too. I'm mostly a cheerful, happy and well-adjusted person but I get my moods (like everyone, I suppose). I have a good sense of humor about most things and I prefer honest discussion to fluff. But I do like fluff with peanut butter on bread.

I love my girlfriend dearly and want to help her the best that I can. My dislikes are ignorant people, annoying customers, bad sci-fi/fantasy movies, and marshmallow peeps! Well, I don't know what else to say, so for now I'll say: Thank you and see you soon!
Sincerely,
Angelsgirl (Kelly)
