And you did not call me to come as the real German taste expert, specialised in Jägerschnitzel testing?

The next time I make it, you are invited. 😊

The man has high quality taste buds!  I like him!

My dad was born here but my grandparents are from Germany so he grew up eating traditional German food.

As I said, the man has quality taste buds! And I hope you inherited them!

I would not do a Jägerschnitzel with mashed potatoes, but rather with simply boiled ones (preferably yukon gold or red potatoes), and just sprinkle a little parsley flakes over them, and cover the Schnitzel with the mushroom sauce.
But all that is a matter of ones individual taste (I am not a big mashed potato lover to start with)

The love for mashed potatoes seems to be an American thing.  Yiou eat them, in Germany, too.  But only with specific dishes.
The family of my wife was of English and Danish descent, and did not have a drop of German blood in their vein, but they, too, ate mashed potatoes as if they were going out of style!

Last night I made Jagerschnitzel with mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy and red cabbage.

I've had Jägerschnitzel a few times when I was stationed in Germany and also at a few Oktoberfests here in the states

Pretty good stuff, I Like it

Sounds terribly healthy!  If you continue to eat like this, there might be the danger that you could get very old!

lamb curry, of work so had time to make this one, onion, chillies , ginger, garlic on the blender. 1/2 on the cubed lamb with spices and yogurt, marinade for 2+ hrs in fridge . fry to seal meat then add rest of onion mix and simmer for 1 1/2 hrs. Nice with rice and breads.
