Hey there! I'm just about at three months post op from a visit to Dr. Ley in Arizona.
For those who've had her or others, I've got some questions that their office refuses to answer in any sufficient capacity I was hoping you all might be able to help with. Diving right in..
When abouts did you stop needing to wear pads as a constant affair?
When does the final perianal stitch get pushed out? Did you get sick of it and just cut it?
What is your favorite thing you've learned afterwards?

I'm still wearing pads and was right up to 2nd stage (labiaplasty) 6 months after 1st stage (vaginoplasty).  Over time I was able to switch to fairly thin pads and saw less need for them as the months went by.  The labiaplasty reset everything at first, frequently required thick pads right after surgery.  Recovery from the 2nd stage is much faster (and I'm almost getting good at it).  After initial healing I found the main reason to continue wearing pads is due to dilation and at a half year that's daily, sometimes more than once per day.  Once I can reduce dilation to every few days or once per week, I'll probably only have to use a pad for a few hours after dilation.

I didn't need to manually remove any stitches from vaginoplasty or labiaplasty. 

What is your favorite thing you've learned afterwards?

I've learned several things.  First, I'm certain I made good decisions - if some some reason I needed to do this all over I would exactly the same way without hesitation.   My physical sexuality has obviously changed and is still healing but I've found the mental changes are astonishing.  HRT is partially responsible for that but I now understand the behavior of past girlfriends and female partners.  Some things aren't like an on/off switch.  I'd describe it as momentum... takes more to get going but then doesn't wanna stop if ya know what I mean.

It's in the 3rd months after surgery that I completely stopped wearing any pads (it should have been sooner, but I had a granulation issue and there was a gap at my clitoris hood that the blood leaked out from that area *I had my srs with dr.Burin in Thailand, that he made the stitches on top of the clitoris hood)

I had a different doctor, but:

After about 3 weeks I stopped wearing actual pads, and switched to pantyliners. I am about 6 weeks post-op and discharge is there, but pretty minor.

I don't know about the stitches, I mean I can see the lines where the labia minora/majora connect and where they meet which I had some damage in, but I don't feel any obvious stitches lower than that, if I have any they certainly aren't bothering me, pretty sure the ones I have had are the dissolving type anyways as there is no appointment to take them out on the schedule.
