Hi,

I am almost three weeks post-op with Chettawut, and realising how unrealistic his dilation schedule is. He expects three 50 minute sessions a day for the first two years. Afterwards, he requires 2-3 times a week, for life.

I understand Suporn requires much much less, with the dilation going down to once a day after 6 months and after a year - once a week, for life.

Can anyone explain why Chettawut's dilation requirements are much harsher? It seems like they use pretty much the same technique for the surgery. It just makes no sense to me.

Anyone who has done surgery with Chettawut who was actually able to meet the dilating requirements for such a long time? It just seems like it's un-doable.

Thanks.  :)

I'm not sure. I went to Suporn. I'm at about once every few days, a little over a year post-op.

That might be more of a question for their office.

I have the impression that no one actually keeps to Chettawut's dilation schedule.

I'm not so familar with Chett, but I've read a lot of Suporn stories and its clear its more a rough guideline more than anything, and that you need to dilate as much as you need to - you're body will let you know. If you're not doing it enough things will get difficult and you'll start to lose depth, so increase it.

Some women reduce their dilation schedule much more quickly than others, some far more slowly.

Oops.. it seems I am not able to message you, the system won't let me..
I'm afraid I don't feel comfortable talking about this publicly just yet (I'm still in his care), but I will post soon in the forums.

I am a Chett girl - 6 months post-op.

After 6 weeks I moved to x2 per day, without any issues.  Since then, i only missed 2-3 dilations (mainly due to socialising: getting in at 2-3am and realising that I have to get up at 6am to dilate so there is no point dilating at 3am :-)).

i can get to full depth within 5 minutes, on a x2 per day schedule (i do x5 minutes of 1, 2 and 3 stents, then x10 minutes of the number 4).  After 12 months, I am going to try x1 session per day and see where that gets me.

Based on my chat with Chett girls from around the same time as me, some alternate between x2 or x3 per day, depending on healing and other personal circumstances, but NOBODY does x3 per day religiously, especially after 12 months.

Chett's schedules are really unrealistic.  I had BA at the same time as SRS and, if I kept to the BA massage schedule and the SRS schedule, i wouldn't have time to work, let alone sleep or eat.

As an aside, I am really happy with the SRS result.  I have a 100 per cent. success rate with solo orgasms  :-)

I went with Chettawut for the GRS in April this year.
Agree that the 3X schedule is difficult to keep up with especially balancing career and family life.
The nurse did mentioned that it can be reduced to 2 sessions with lengthening each time.
Presently I am trying to maintain the schedule but its often challenging as the preparation till finish dilation takes up almost 2hours each session.
I always do the dilation early in the morning at 430 to 5am once I woke up and afterwhich is a rush to work. Coming back and second session at about 10pm which by the time i get to bed is about 130 after completing the daily household task as well.
Yes, its exhausting and mentally tiring. I did slip once or twice by missing the morning or evening schedule due to Long haul flights (not possible to dilate on the plane can I) but I try to religiously maintain that schedule. Depth wise I have yet to lose any so far, but if you ask me I gather that coming so far in this journey, its a small price to pay. I do not wish to lose any depth since my depth is already not that deep...
Weekends I try to get as much rest as possible to recover the exhaustion. Chettawut had mentioned that its for 2 years after which the schedule can be reduced to 3X a week. Well its a Long way to go, hopefully I can get thru it.

I have one question for Chettawut gals thou, do you encounter any difficulties during intercourse? It seems that one probably need to dilate first prior to intercourse, else its difficult to accommodate? Apologies if it sounds too personal.

I am 9 months post op and am totally satisfied with the outcome of my SRS with Dr Chettawut, except that I find I am somewhat tight. I am in search of a 35 mm straight dilator (or dildo) but so far failed to find one.

Soul Source make some straight ones, but they a not very long.

And some others

https://vaginismus.com/products/vaginal-dilator-set/

https://www.pelvision.nl/?menuid=55

If you know anyone going to Suporn, his large is 34-35mm and perhaps they could pick one up for you.

Lucie

Thank you so much AnonyMs for the links.

I asked rpdinc for their prices and shipping cost.

Unfortunately Soul Source straight dilators as well as Vaginismus and Pelvision dilators being designed for vaginismus issues are too short.

I asked Suporn clinic whether they would sell me their dilator but they refused. Sadly I don't know anyone going to Suporn clinic to whom I could ask to pick one for me.

AnonyMs

Could you post the prices when you find out. I'm curious.

If you try Suporn's dynamic dilation technique you may find its good for the tightness.
  •

Lucie

Yes of course I'll post rpdinc prices when I'll have got them.

As for dynamic dilation technique I find it far less efficient for enlarging the end of the vagina than for enlarging its entrance.

The PAI dilator size 3 is 34mm.

Unfortunately, they don´t sell just the one. Need to buy all 3 in a pack. Costs a bit less than 100 dollars I think.

If anyone is visiting Bangkok, could pick you the pack or otherwise, mail the clinic and ask if they ship you.
  •

Lucie

Thank you Mendi for the suggestion.
Actually I already considered PAI dilators. Unfortunately they are bent (as Soul Source dilators) which does not suit me.

No it´s not bent. It´s straight. I have the 3 pack of them, which I bought a month ago before leaving for home.

Oh, the picture on their site (http://pai.co.th/grs-dilator) shows dilators with a bent tip (?).

That must be some old picture. The current ones are clear and straight. This picture shows similar ones that the current ones are now.

I got 2 as a complimentary, white ones and straight.

And then I bought the 3 pack, which are clear plastic, like glass and straight.

  •

Lucie

Thank you for that clarification. I am going to ask PAI for a quotation but I am afraid that the shipping cost will be prohibitive.
A last question: their site mentions 4 sizes (28mm, 31mm, 34mm and 36mm). Which ones are actually in the 3 pack?

I'd double check which ones are current as the straight ones look like the rest of the dilators used in thailand. I had the impression they had just changed over to the bent style. Maybe they are just about to?

There seems to be a mistake on that page too, saying they are both 6" and 8" long.
