HRT dosage information is widely available on the net, but discussing actual numbers is not permitted on this forum.

Have you considered posting an introduction as a way of becoming part of this community?

Hi Fenia 🙋‍♀️ Welcome to Susan's Place!  I'm Jessica.
Virginia is correct that dosages are not allowed to be posted on Susan's Place.  It could give the impression to someone that those dosages would work for them.  Dosages should always be prescribed by a doctor, followed by blood tests to assure health.  I have removed them from your post.

I see your new here, so I'll post some links that may help you get better acquainted with the site. Pay attention to the site rules (including posting of dosages) they can be of great help and don't forget the link highlighted red.  It has answers to questions that are commonly asked.  Then join in on a topic you find interesting and learn and share.

Hi Fenia,
My HRT is estradiol gel and androcur( cyproterone). I find both highly effective and monitor with endocrinologist and blood tests. Like many types of estrogen the gel dose can be adjusted to bring blood levels as high or as low as required- it is quite potent.
As far as anti androgen goes cyproterone acetate is about as potent as you can get.
I have found it can easily create androgen levels less than average female or even undetectable.
The sweet spot for me seems to be average female androgen levels for energy, motivation & good mood.
Speaking to your doctor about cyproterone you may find very low androgen works for you.
The risk of low androgens can be depression, low energy, fragile mood - but not a problem for many people.
There is no reason why your endicrinologist can't tweak your regimen to get a more satisfactory outcome.
Good luck with everything!
Kirsten

Welcome to Susan's Place. You may post test results and from those we can determine if your levels should be sufficient for feminization. A secondary consideration is development in a CIS woman takes around 2-3 years and changes may take place as long as 10 years. As you have only been on HRT for a little over 2 months it may just be a matter of more time.

Often Endos will start the dosage low then over the following appointments will bump the dosage as long as the test results don't show any problems. The primary test is liver function but there are other things that are monitored as well.

Kirsten, this is an inspiring post for me.  It gives me hope in trying HRT.    "energy, motivation & good mood." are things I desire so much right now. I have been seeing a psychiatrist  for several years and cant get a handle on my situation.  I have been treating it as a hyper-sexual issue and trying to control thoughts with antidepressants.

I am now seeing a gender specialist and just talking about gender openly with him and my group has been of great relief.  It is like acknowledging the elephant in the room and perhaps HRT is what is in the bushes I need to look at.

I have been reading many of your post and could see myself in the same situation having an  understanding wife and not having to fear loss of precious family and dear friends as so many do.  Everyone has a different path I see and I hope I find the right one too.

Fenia, glad things are getting better for you too.

If you say you can or cant do something you are correct! Henry Ford
