I was so worried about serving on a jury panel as my new self that I forgot to talk about my weekend before. More on that in a bit. Yet again, my fears of serving as my new self was a big non-event. If fact, it was very affirming and educational. Not one miss-gender all week. Nothing but ma'am's and Ms., opening and holding doors and elevators for me. Everyone from my fellow jurors too all the court officials and cafeteria employees.

Now on to last weekend. I was quit busy having fun with my dear friend "A". We attended two Christmas parties together, one on Saturday, an annual Christmas party sponsored by my apartment community, with live music, dancing and a great potluck. The same band comes back each year and plays for free. I guess because we are sexy old ladies lol. I live in a retirement community and as you may know, we elderly ladies really know how to cook. The second Christmas pasty was on Sunday evening at the LA LGBT center sponsored by the Trans Lounge support community in Los Angeles. We all took part in decorating a Christmas tree (aka the queer tree), dancing, singing Christmas songs and a nice catered dinner. My friend and I had a great time seeing old friends and meeting great new friends.
My dear friend "A" and I.

And singing along with the LA trans chorus group? I think I got that right?

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
Donica.
P.S. @Steph 2.0, as you can see, I have a few pretty scarves too.
