I'm looking for a new surgeon in the Lake County, Illinois area, just in case my surgery falls through again. The surgeon that is supposed to be performing the surgery does not communicate and I find out about the denial of coverage via mailings from my insurance company. I have a little more than a week for the surgery date and I haven't heard from them in regards to anything.
The denial was due to a lack of evidence to find it medically necessary because my 2 mental health provider's letters were not included for some reason. I have removed these documents to his office, and have not heard from them regarding submitting a new prior authorization.
If anyone can point me to a new surgeon, I would be greatly appreciative.
