What did you do for New Years?

I spent my New Years worrying about one of my partners who lost her job that day.

My partner and I went to a party at another trans couple's home. Lots of food and drink, some 30 people (most trans), and a shuttle taking people back and forth to/from a nearby parking lot. Had the odd experience of watching a bunch of trans women playing basketball in the back yard, none of whom could understand why Nickie and I were laughing so hard!

We left about 1 am, giving a ride home to someone who had had a few too many.

We had both been involved just a few days earlier in organizing a joint year-end party for local trans women's and trans men's support groups, with about 75 people in attendance, so it was nice to just kick back and enjoy this one.
