I'm sorry but this is sensationalist crap.  This sinister move is making the website more accurate since the passport specifically says sex and not gender.  When you get that marker changed you are getting the sex marker on your passport changed.

Yeah, lots of passport paranoia going around lately...mostly due to misunderstanding.
