The children with leukemia I see at the hospital where I work.  They endure endless hours of chemotherapy and feel very ill after each treatment; that makes me very sad.  Knowing that some of them are winning the battle against this terrible disease makes me very happy.

Child protection work. It means that a child may be rescued from an abusive situation, but it also means that they may be separated from the person or people they love. There is no right answer in those cases, all we can do is try and do the least harm.
