Hey I just wanted to know if anybody had this problem too. I'm not happy with the location of my vaginal opening is too far up and the angle Is way too steep.

If I go inside with a finger it kinda feels like this:

\ <-Vaginal opening
\
   ———————— <- inside Vagina

Is this something that can be helped in a revision or do I have to live with it?

Sorry for mistakes. English isn't my native language.

I had a problem with stitches right at the top part of the vagina where the curve of the slope goes deeper in. I think for this reason it was tighter there than anywhere else.  I helped alliviate it by gently stretching it with the dilator by going in small circular motions  rather than just straight in.

I hope this helps some

It is possible to have a surgical revision, but you would have to consult with your surgeon to find out specifically what they would do. I can think of only one possible way to correct this. This is to make the vaginal opening lower by partially opening the area between the current vaginal opening and the anus. Repositioning the urethra and clitoris may also be possible. A good surgeon who specializes in this type of surgery may be able to give you more options.

Revisions are more common than many people may think and it is not always the fault of the surgeon. Since we are all different and unique, our anatomy may also be different from most other people. Even though surgical procedures are very common now a days, there is always a unique starting point that falls outside of the normal and may result in unexpected complications.

There are Plastic surgeons who specialize in vaginal rejuvenation for middle aged and older women, where the labia major and minor are reshaped. In the most serious condition of a vaginal prolapse, this can also be helped somewhat, but the results do not always return the patient to a youthful and functional vagina.

When it comes to complications, we hope for the best and, of course, YMMV. I wish I could give you a better report, but there are just too many factors involved here. Start with making inquires to surgeons and then schedule an appointment for a consult. This is the only way you can fix this problem.

Hi Kirsti,

Keep in mind you have a PC/Kegel muscle located above that bend.  Some MTF dilators are curved to accommodate this muscle.  The set of dilators I was provided by Dr. Ley and Dr. Meltzer are curved.  I'm less than a year post-op and learning to use that muscle to change the shape and angle.
