Hi Tony. Sorry to hear you are going to a funeral. I would say a suit jacket, button down dress shirt with tie, slacks and black shoes with black socks. Out of respect, I would dress as formal as possible.

It all depends on the person.

My father...shined boots, clean jeans, and a nice button down shirt was more than enough for most of us.

My late aunt...Sunday best.

You can't go wrong with a dark suit and a tie.  Dress shoes, no sneakers.

Welcome to dressing up as a man....
You obviously already are aware that dress shoes are so much easier for a man than it is for a woman....

Alll a man needs in his dress shoe wardrobe is one pair of black and one pair of brown dress shoes.
 
In this day and age of predominantly casual dress the shoe shop sales people call them  "marry them and bury them" shoes because most men will rarely wear them out and will own them for many years.

When you get all dressed up, your followers will demand pictures, but only if you feel comfortable posting them.

In my old and now gone men's wardrobe I had a black suit, crisp white shirt and a necktie for more formal occasions like funerals and weddings... and a pair of nice looking black dress shoes, freshly polished of course.   
A black dress shirt and a black tie will also work well for a very solemn funeral.

I went to shop for shoes and pants today. I just said what I needed and the woman picked out black pants to me in my size. I was nervous for bad reactions but it went all fine. It was a shop for mens cloths.

The pants I had at home were too small in the waist. But now I have the entire outfit for the funeral. Including a black tie, that I bought with the pants.

Shoes were easy. Noone asked me anything.

Good for you Tony, I am glad that you were able to easily purchase the clothing and shoes that you needed without any problems.  I am sure that you will look quite handsome in your new outfit.

Fortunately for you and other FTMs, especially for those that are concerned about passing convincingly, it quite common to see females dressing primarily in men's shirts and pants, etc.   Also it is quite common to see women,
girl-friends, wives, and mothers shopping in the men's sections of the stores for anything male including underwear and anything male-specific.
- - - - - - - - - AND NO ONE THINKS ANYTHING ABOUT IT !!!!!

On the other hand, I am a MTF, and for the MTFs that may be concerned about passing convincingly, it is NOT common to see males dressed in female specific clothing.   Also it is NOT common to see men shopping in the women's sections of stores shopping for bras, panties, clothing or anything that looks female specific.
- - - - - - - - - AND ONLOOKERS DO INDEED LOOK AND STARE !!!!!

Even though you are going to a solemn event like a Funeral, enjoy yourself as you are out and about in your male-mode and be prepared for the females to be looking at the handsome man named Tony.

Sorry. No pics. There was no good time for pics. But I realized I could tie a tie. It wasn't so hard.

I presented myself as myself and my chosen name. Only one gentleman was surprised and smiled wierd at me. But he was nice and did not say anything stupid. I got a nice smile from him when I left the church. I guess he was surprised in the beginning, I have a woman's voice but look like a guy.

I had a white shirt, black tie, black pants and black shoes. No sneakers. And a black jacket.

It was a nice ceremony. Lots and lots of flowers. I almost started to cry uncontrolled when they played Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheeran. I was thinking about her boys. Her youngest boy is so much alike my oldest one. They even share one of their names.
