I was thinking about taking biotin to help my hair, but I heard that it can actually make your beard hair stronger as well? I'm starting laser soon, so I was wondering if I should just avoid biotin until after my laser treatments. Thoughts?

I've been taking it daily for my nails.  I haven't noticed any ill effect on my facial hair.
But now old friends they're acting strange
They shake their heads, they say I've changed
Well something's lost, but something's gained
In living every day.

Took it for months and noticed a difference in the quality of my hair...I think YMMV is part of the answer as I noticed strong hair but very little for my nails...

It might affect body hair too. I've been using biotin for a while at the time I started HRT and my body hair not thinned or become less black (nearly 6 months on proper dose). I found later that biotin might be the cause of it.

From what I've heard, it can make your hair grow everywhere so be careful.
