Do you ever play with your hair?

I both knowingly and unknowingly do it.

Here is a few examples of knowingly messing with my hair.

Knowingly the hair has been prepared with heat sprays to straighten or curl hair, or damp hair to set loose waves, or damp plaits to wear as a style for the day with the added benefit of providing tight kinks and curls for the style of the next day.
Knowingly the hair is prepared and protected. And playing with the hair causes minimal harm

Unknowingly, especially at work when my nervousness heightens on certain calls I will twist and kink my hair into tight knots. This does plenty harm.
Or combing it in a rush also can cause damage.
Nervous hair pulling is no good. And rushing hair care like brushing or drying hair can also cause alot of harm.

Be kind to your hair. I find my hair to be a very important aspect of my being. Knowing it was always there and just waiting to grow it out kept me sane and away from the rope when I had to be a man
I look after mine quite well now in thanks for what it got me through 💕

I really wish I was coordinated enough to braid my own hair. I'm still at the point where I might as well just tie knots in it and save myself some time.

I think it is cool to see some of those Pantene hair product commercials where a woman has very beautiful, shiny, healthy looking long hair.  So gorgeous hair.   :)

All my life I have been attracted to women, so as mtf being a lesbian does seem so natural a path.  Ahhh, that beautiful hair!  Long or short, of course.  Plus, it is the whole woman, inside and out, that truly counts.  Certainly though, great hair can make a woman get noticed.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

I often find myself twirling a curl around my finger, never thought much about it but playing with my hair is something that I have enjoyed for decades. I guess my thought on the subject is that if you have it, enjoy it!

So along with playing with my hair like pushing it behind my ears or you know just out of my eyes or whatever I also find myself light shaking it like looking up and then shaking my hair slightly and I'm doing that quite often as well

If you can't accept yourself,  how can you expect others to accept you?

I play with my hair, probably more than I should- but I have a lot of anxiety issues, so I'm always fiddling with something (much to the annoyance of my wife). I have mostly broken the habit of brushing it out with my fingers in public, tho... nobody likes it when you shed broken hairs all about the place, and since mine are bright blue, it's kind of obvious when I'm the culprit :-\

I twirl my hair in the least attractive way that sometimes make knots and whatnot. I've been doing it since I was little as a self-soothing thing.

I do like to turn my head and feel my hair move.
I do not do that on purpose when I am out and about with onlookers.
I do like putting some behind my ears too.

A longer wig, maybe to about the top of the boobs, is fun.  You can move or gently toss your hair with your hands to your back, place it behind your ears, or from one side to another. You can also wear barrettes and ponytails.  Sometimes I put the ponytail through a baseball cap.

These are such little (maybe big) pleasures we can enjoy, huh ladies?  Oh, yes.

I love caps, and being able to pop a pony through them instantly turns them femme in my opinion! It's nice not having to give up little things you like in order to feel feminine!

She believed she could so she did!

Oh yes, I know!  So nice.   :)

I especially like the deep red rose, fuchsia, and lilac caps!

lol after pulling, shaking back and forth (with hand) ever try suck/chewing on twirled end of hair/ponytail? Soothing/moisturizing those split ends (with an oral fixation)?

Am trying to cutdown on 'smoking' . . .

Sister and 'ex' are *shedding* big time apparently menopausal cis women don't think much about "hormone replacement" I've offered help but no . . .

I have been running my fingers through my hair for the past half hour or so.
Not sure why I am doing this right now, as I am not anxious.

The best explanation why I am is at this moment, playing with it is enjoyable.   :)

I'm not sure if it's considered playing with that but I do find myself constantly tucking it behind my ears

I've always been a passionate hair-player, though, alas, not as much as I used to when I had more of it, I suppose. Back when mine was elbow length I must have done ever braid style I could think of. Back in the ole days I was a big roller setter, sometimes doing teases and whatever. About the only popular style I could never pull of was the Farrah Fawcett '70s flip, which required more hair than I ever had growing out of my head. I always loved that look, though. I've also cut my own hair many times, which is not so difficult if you've got two fixed mirrors and take your time.

Edit/PS: Rachel_Christina, I love all the different looks you do. You and I seem to be kindred spirits in the hair passion department.

What is even more fun is touching and playing with another woman's hair.
In nice ways.
