I was into steam in a big way when I was really young and even talked my Father into taking me to a transport museum, where we viewed a full scale replica of 'Stevenson's Rocket' - the first accepted design of a working model engine, though there were a few prototypes before it.
I still have an affection for the age of steam, and as I have a log burner which also takes coal, it looks and reminds me of the firebox on a steam engine, especially with the wide chimney pipe protruding upwards. I always have a stupid grin on my face when loading it up with coal. lol Nowadays the kids only have 'steam punk' - but it sure is an extremely cool fashion statement.
