I have been coming out as transgender to more people in my life lately, and the reactions have been positive so far. I really haven't had anyone  really have a problem with me being trans, or me wanting to transition. I've been really lucky so far.

That is nice to hear!  Great!

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Hi Jenna,

It's good to know the universe can be kind sometimes. (I've been pretty lucky so far too, so that makes two of us.)

It is amazing when life surprises us with something positive. I was all but certain my dad would reject me, even my sister-in-law thought it would not go well. We were both amazed when he accepted me. In fact, I have not lost anyone who mattered in my life, friend or family. The biggest obstacles I faced were all in my mind.

Keep moving forward Jenna!

That's excellent, glad to hear it! It's been positive for me too, though I'm sure the small minority of local haters are keeping their voices low & whispering amongst themselves. By & large, their negative opinions won't change my direction, though it is so good to receive the general thumbs-up from the majority. Well done you!

Hugs,

Johnni xx

I am glad to hear that, Jenna.

I, too, have had only positive experiences, and I have been out for more than a year and a half.
