You have to drink water. It's some sort of chemical reaction that helps with burning fat. Water is all I drink if I can help it so a bottle in the morning, afternoon, evening and one after dinner. This is a light day. If I go for a 10+ mile walk I tend to drink one more bottle of water on top of that.
Yes, I understand, but being a medical person, I want to alert you that you have to also be careful not to dilute the minerals in your body to much.  To overcome this a little better, i drink different fruit teas, as well as some salty liquids.
I could not drink much when i am walking, because i have no location to relief myself along the way, Spiro forces me to look for a bathroom almost every 60 to 90 minutes, and that can be bothersome in some situations.

I heard about that but from I understand that is for more water. I also eat more fruits and vegetables and less fast food then I ever did before. I think I should be ok.

Again, every body is different.  The problem is if you sweat a lot, you loose quite a bit of salt and minerals.  When you ad just normal water, you dilute the minerals left even more, and at some point your mineral content could be low enough that vital organs could get damaged, and in extrem cases you could drink yourself to death.

I have no idea how your metabolism is working, but you are loosing weight more rapidly than generally recommended, which indicates that your food intake is relatively low, which also means your mineral intake is low.  Fruits and vegies are great, but you also need proteins and fats.  You don't need fast food at all!
I would consult with either a dietitian or your doctor about the fast weight loss, and the rather high water consumption.

What good is a waist like a bee, but your liver or kidneys don't work anymore.  Just bounce your lifestyle of, of either of those professionals and see what they have to say.
I am neither an internist nor a dietitian but just a surgical schlug, who is a little informed about those things!

Oh I see what you are saying. The water I'm drinking says it's mineral fortified. Does that help?

Oh I eat. Today I had ribs, yesterday I had chicken in my salad and rotisserie chicken as part of my dinner. My average caloric intake is about 1300 a day, sometimes as high as 1700 and sometimes as low as 900. It depends on how hungry I feel. Here are some meals I have logged. https://imgur.com/a/ePO8W3L

The mineral water is a plus!
The meals and the portions look pretty ok to me.  Total waste of empty calories were the waffles and the maple syrup (sugar is sugar and stays sugar no matter what color or name it has).  But.. the Mayo Clinic recommends that one should not loose more than a pound a week.  I assume that your maintenance amount of calories is between 2200 and 2600?

The mayo Clinic recommends that one should be in average max 1000 calories below the maintenance level, and that one should not loose more weight than about one pound a week.  Loosing weight faster could lead to health problems.  It is darn hard for the heart to adjust pumping volume constantly because the body get rapidly smaller.  Liver and kidneys are also not that wild about this.
The only part of your body that is happy about a fast weight los is your brain, because that one is already dreaming about all those cute things you can wear pretty soon!

Again, I am  not a specialist in this flied, I just remember some stuff from med school, and some more from literature I have read.

I would check in with somebody who can see that everything is OK, and you get the appropriate nutrition

It depends on how active I am in a day. If I don't move around I burn maybe 1800 - 1900 calories at most 2000. I eat until I'm full. I drink when I'm thirsty. My body isn't screaming for more food. Today my caloric intake was roughly 1370 calories and I have burned 2,334 at the moment. I'm getting ready to walk on the treadmill for about 45 minutes. I expect I'll hit 3000 calories burned today.

I had mashed potatoes, ribs, fruit (a mix of pineapple, blueberries, black berries and water melon), a smoothie, and green beens today. Don't worry I'm fine. I just don't need as much food. I should never have been eating as much as I was simply because that is what made me over weight. I'm simply rubber banding back to my natural weight. :D

But I'll go ahead and eat an apple.

Today's weigh in is more of an estimation then actual because for some reason my scale is giving me err 9 times out of 10 but the one time I got a number it was 202.8. So I guess I lost weight but now I have to go buy a better scale. I guess that is why the scale was under $20.  >:(

No decrease in my waist line or at least not to the degree that is easy for me to read doing it myself.

Maybe this is a good time to buy one of those fancy scales that reports to my Apple Health app on my phone.

Natalie,

Perhaps it simply needs a stronger battery?

No joy so I went and got a new scale. I tested it out and it said I was 201.9 pounds. It's a Qardio Base 2. I got it for sale at $99.95.

This mornings weigh in was 200.4 pounds and my waist has dropped from 46 inches in the last week to 44 inches.

Speaking of measurements my hips I managed to measure wrong last time I must have been too high. At the widest point I am 45 inches. So that makes my waist technically smaller then my hips again. I also screwed up my shoulder measurement. I didn't realize you don't measure the circumference but instead just width from the center of your arm to center of other arm across your shoulders. I'm a little over 16 inches but under 16.5 inches. So I fall pretty much in the ballpark of the average female range.

I don't I'll be very happy once I get my waist down to 30 maybe 27. I honestly don't know how much less then 30 I can get. I assume a little because at 30 I had minor love handles.

That is great!  Weightwise you are now very close to me.  But my weight must be distributed a lot different (I think estrogen is holding a lot of water inside of me.
Having to tighten my watch bad the other day, and finding out that my waist is 41 and my hips are 44 inches (I have no idea how to manage to measure my shoulders?  I have only two hands),
I decided to try some L size tops I had bought because they were cute and I hoped to wear them one day.  I tried them on last night, and they fit perfectly.  In fact one is a sweatshirt type of thing, and that is almost a little on the wide side.

I really don't know what is going on, the measurements of my body seem to go down, while he weight stays about the same.  I know that my boobs are growing again, but that cannot be more than max a pound, some of the weight may settle in my butt, I can't see that very well, but I really believe that there is quite some water retained in my body.

Anyway, my top seems to slowly be at the size I was hoping for, and now I just have to loose more weight at my waist.  And there it is mainly those semi ugly love handles that have to go!  I don't know what target waist I am looking at, because I have no idea what my body will look like with a smaller waist, my aim are those love handles, when they are gone I am pretty happy with my waist, no matter what size it is.

Ideal heathy weight depends on height. If I remember right Dietlind you said you were 6"2' this means your ideal weight is in the range 144-194lbs. Whereas Natalie you at 5"10' should be in the range 124-174, myself at 5"3' I have to get to at least 145.
None of above take into account where the weight is or how it is made up, so I guess is are just the start.

Congrats Natalie on your success so far

You made me 2" taller than I am in reality.  My ideal weight seem to be around 175 lbs, which brings me slightly towards the "you look to thin" side.  I used to be between 179 and 182 lbs way back when, and was told when I was 179 lbs that I look like a starving person.  I am currently hung up at about 198 lbs, and I do not want to weight much  less than 180 lbs.  I have to consider that some of the weight will be in my boobs, and weighting less than 180 lbs would make me appear to be really thin.  I seem to have pretty solid bones, and unless I get osteoporosis, they will have the same weight whether I am a guy or a woman.  Any possible weight loss will be bacon distributes in and on my body, and I want to only loose that which is placed at the male typical locations around the gut area.

I think at some point, the appropriate physical appearance is of more importance that the absolute weight!

Measuring my arms was difficult and took finesse. I took hold of the measuring cloth with both hands and stretched it out taught and then lifted my arms directly up naturally to where they met with my shoulders. Then I looked at the number on the left and subtracted it from the number on the right to get my shoulder width. It isn't a perfectly accurate number but relatively accurate for being done on my own.

I have more weight I can stand to lose on my torso particularly my stomach.

Speaking of which today my weigh in was 199.3 pounds. So today I am below 200 pounds!!!!! I don't know what my goal is in terms of a number. My intention is to get underweight but not extremely so and then gain a little back to get around a BMI of 18 or 19 to help with the curves.

Right now I'm shooting for 140 - 150 with the super awesome goal of getting down to 133. I'll see if I can get lower to a BMI of 16 or 17 and then increase back up to around a 18 to 19 in the hopes of better fat deposit locations.

For sure, but the only way to get rid of the male fat is to burn it all, or as much as possible and then rebuild. ;D

You almost got me girl!  Maybe tomorrow or Tuesday, I will become the fat one of the two of us!  I better learn to live with it!
I wanted to go to a symphony concert today, and arriving at the venue I found that it was canceled (looking at the website would have helped.  Here I was, with all that free time on my hands, and I decided to drive to the largest mall in the area and do some shopping.  I needed a pair of pumps anyway to have some more formal looking shoes.  I found a nice pair at Payless, and to make it even sweeter, they had 40% of n anything today (the snowbirds are here and they have to be lured in).  And I bought a pair of cargo jeans in another store that had everything reduced by 50% and three tops.  All the tops were L sized (seems no more XL required for this lady), and the pants were a size 12, and not my norml 14.
It looks as if I reached my trage clothing size, but definitely not my target weight.  I just don't know how much water that estrogen stuff holds back in my body, but I know that I still want to loose some more weight!
I might want to set a new tragget for clothing, tops size M and pants size 10????  I might never get to this, but I need to set a goal to work towards it!

At least I don't look anymore like the fat lady (and that is good, because I can neither sing nor dance well), I might retire to be the heavy lady instead!   :o ::)
