This is the opposite of what you think is it.
This is a place to post things we all dislike talking about, but we still have to do it in our lives.
It will also show we are still humans even though we prefer to present a certain way.

The goal is to post the opposite of what people think.
This can be anything. You can follow the title or make up your own.

So, this Weekend, I had to repair the plumbing in my bathroom. I had to rebuild all of the shower valves. I also had to install a new shower head.

I'm building a model of my humvee from the all expense paid vacation I took to Iraq.

Lol ok
Umm on the scale of 1-10 I guess a -50 since some guy repeatedly decided to ask/tell me "you're a man?".... I ignored him but I just really loved the limp wrist gesture everytime he said (insisted) "you're a man? You look like you are"...
[emoji4] I guess I WAS one but if I'm a man now, then that's laughable to all "men" out there...

Installed a new element in the cooker but that gave me an excuse to clean it ;-)

Found the noise on my classic car that i use every day, so ordered the parts so i can do the job next weekend.  Also today went for a 120 mile run out for a meal at a garden centre with my local classic car club which i am the chairMAN of! Stepping down in January tho after 13 years...

Also replaced the halogen bulb in the outside light on my garage

Cleaning leaves out of the gutters!  My balance hasn't been this good in decades with all that practice on stilettos!

Well, That's a side effect of us engineering types babbling on.  Removed the old non english babble for something more legible.

I scrapped my old microwave. I save the very powerful magnets for further use. I also save the High Voltage transformer to re purpose for future projects. The 2500 Volts is no good for my needs so I rewind the cores for something useful. Mostly converting them to power inverter transformers. 12/24 volts to 120 volts. It's fun, frustrating, and very dirty.

I've been tinkering about with an AM/FM antenna idea. Basically two poles with a 100 feet of steel wire between them. It's called a long wire antenna.

The car needs spark plugs. I haven't got to it yet. The new plugs are still on my table.

I put up a temporary outside light at the far end of the yard because there is a thief in the neighbor hood.

My generator is leaking fuel so I ordered the rubber parts to fix the fuel leak. The fuel tank has rubber grommet that has dried out and started leaking.

Built and tested my latest design power supply for vacuum tube RIAA phono preamps.
I sell the PSU's to HiFi enthusiasts all over the world.
This was the first build of the new PCB with improvements.
Spec is 280V B+ and 6.3V (2A) for the filement.

Interesting stuff. I like to tinker with power supplies and inverter units all the time.

Went up and down the ladder hanging Christmas lights, tested bulbs, and replaced fuses.

My car is blue, it has 5 wheels including the steering wheel, I know how to switch on the lights when it is dark and the wipers when it rains, and I know how to fill it up... that's about all I know about cars. Oh, I know how to put the seat belt on, change gears, break, and adjust my mirror.

I can't think of anything I did this last week that was stereo-typical masculine. But considering I am still not presenting female, does baking cookies, making a gingerbread house, epilating my arms, replacing all my male underwear with women's, shopping, spending hours looking through online clothing and shoe catalogues, cleaning the bathroom, cleaning the kitchen, cooking all the meals, washing and drying the dishes, hanging the laundry, wrapping presents, writing cards, and watching makeup videos on YouTube while drinking snowballs count?

hmmm when I write it like that I am surprised nobody notices.  ???

I played pool! Does that even count?

I thank each one of you individually for posting a personal reply. This is an encouragement to me because when I was new to this community, I would have never thought that there would be so much diversity. I want people to read this and feel like they can transition to be themselves. I do not want people to say that they will never fit in because of a fear of not being able to play a perfect role. I saw a billboard the other day, saying you don't have to be a perfect parent to raise a kid or to adopt a child. I feel the same way about transitioning, and you don't have to be the perfect candidate to transition. Be free and be yourself, but most of all be honest with your feelings, and do not leave this world with regrets.

Thanks,
Coffeedrew.

There should be an opposite version of this thread for us men.  I hate having to do traditionally "feminine" things, but sometimes, they need to be done.

If I get permission to quote Coffeedrew, the original poster for this thread, I'd be happy to start one.   :D

But maybe the name of this thread should be "How NOT-girly were you this week?"  ;)
