Does anyone know the common type or brand that is used for injectable Progesterone?  Average cost?  Good or bad experience?  I'm seeing my endo tomorrow and I'm considering switching from suppository Progesterone to injectable.

She's pretty open to my suggestions as long as it makes sense.  Looking at Progesterone blood levels it looks like I can keep it at a more controlled level using injectable Progesterone.  The suppository has a short half life and the oral even less.

I have been injecting estrogen for over 3 years now.

Please don't talk dosages.

Thank you
I've taken what others have offered, so now I'm giving back.

I have been injecting progesterone every 3.5 days for the past 1.5 years and I like it. When it was not covered by insurance it was 30+/- a month and now $10 with insurance. The 50mg M/L is most common. I am not sure of the brand name, I am at work it is at home. I uses  1 ml syringe and a 1.5 25ga needle to inject
I am happy with the results of IM P and IM E, I never did AA's and my T level went from 475 to 12 (after stopping T and starting E & P) in 30 days and stayed there until GCS in Jan 2018.
I have been happy with the rotation I found 1 ml BD 309628 Syringes on Amazon and I by the Nipro 25ga needles on Ebay. The cost per shot exclusive of Medication is about $0.25  so A dollar a week +/-

Thank you sooo much!  This is exactly the info I was looking for!

I'm gald that knocked out your T that well!

I quit AA's about 3 years ago.  My T has stayed in the 30's.  Keeping my E between 250 and 400 and taking the Progesterone.

It is better to keep it natural than take the AA's for sure.

Awesome! Glad to be of help. I had to change Dr's to go on IM E&P my original Endo is the head of the Transgender program and she was very IM bad, sublingual bad, AA good... I did some research found a Dr that would listen and met with her. I like Progesterone for mood and it rounded out the breast. I just had stage 2 gcs with Dr. Ley and breast implants and she was happy with the material she had to work with. I keep my E between 250 and 500 (I curtail before blood draws). I even managed to build a bit of a reserve, they were giving me 1 20mg M/L 5mg every 90 days... I pointed out the vial was recommended to be discarded 28 days post puncture...  So now I get a new bottle of Delestrogen monthly it's been harder to build a Reserve of Progesterone as dosing is higher. I did buy Progesterone (strone 200 mg/ml) from inhouse and have it for a reserve incase things go to hell.

I'm happy you found a doctor that knows what's best!  It's amazing how many docs are still using AA's.  I don't get it.  Maybe for the first 6 moths at the most.

Some of these doctors just go by whatever guideline they read about and stick to WPATH so they can say they used the standard care of method so they are not liable if something happens.  Also some of them don't want to learn anything else.

The university clinic in the state I lived in is now also switching over to the no AA method.

Why take the risk and take something that is not natural and not a HRT medicine in the first place when not needed?  It's basically poison.  Thank goodness the medical field is changing back to no AA again.

I like Progesterone also.  It really helps me sleep and I think it does help with my mood.  My breasts did round out a bit, but I started dieting, and running.  I lost 40lbs and dropped back to a A cup..  I have runner boobies for sure.

I've been getting my syringes from Allegro medical as of late.  I get a box of BD 100 1ml for around $56 or $59.

I'm stocked up on 20ml vials from left overs as for some reason I was getting auto refiles every month.  WHen they quit making it she switched me to 40 ml vials and I'm getting refiles every month.  So I'm pretty good on EV.  She told me today she if fine with me doing injections but asked the brand name.  I did not know it.  Which one are you using?  I'll go to the injections and stockpile my Progesterone for a year.  With them being in a gel cap I wonder how long the shelf life is?

I also have some estrodial pills left over from a few years ago I keep just in case.  I read those last a long time on the shelf.
I've taken what others have offered, so now I'm giving back.
