... And, this is a long ways from admiring Rachel's amazing hips...

It is a target to shoot for though, isn't it?
I left the door open, only a few came through. such is my life.

That would surely make recruiting tougher...

While perhaps not causal for "mass shootings" there is a great correlation with SSRI consumption. And psychotropic drugs are relatively new, perhaps explaining why these sorts of things didn't occur in the past. Oh. And, psychotropic drugs are a HUGE business. Oh. And, Big Pharma lobbying dwarfs all gun lobbying...

Lol it did take a nose dive there for a moment.

But ain't just about my hips, it's about all hips. Thighs and waists come into it too lol

The thread may well be about ALL hips, but I think you have set the bar quite high, Rachel.  ;D

And my severe need to work on mine.

But that is way easier now that I'm not traveling constantly for work.  The stress from school helps too, lol.

The bar is never set. She fluctuates!.

I'm hoping to beging more rigorous exercise soon, just hope I don't loose the butt! D:

And Colleen, I think it's all about making the decision. You need to decide you really want it and go for it.
It's tough though, I am always tempted to stuff my face D: especially Subway, I'm so addicted!

I agree this is a long way from Rachel's hips but before we go back to the original topic May I ask you to cite your sources on how SSRIs are causing mass shootings?   There is probably nothing more common then a patient who takes mental health meds and becomes functional and then believes they are ok and decide (on their own) that  they don't need to take them anymore.  If those are the people your talking about who loose it?  I agree.

I have a family history of depression and without therapy and meds I was in a world of >-bleeped-<. When I was diagnosed I was terrified that mental health drugs would poison my brain or turn me into a veg.  I guess I missed the part about it turning people into mass murderers.  Eventually I had a long talk with a doctor that I trusted about mental health meds. Now I have some first hand experience and can report that its helped me greatly.  So I'm not an expert but I think the doctors I've been treated by know what they are doing.

I'm concerned that people who do not have to deal with depression or anxiety repeat things they read on the internet.  Some that say, "Just snap out of it" when they hear you have depression for instance.  If you are a medical expert I guess I'll eat crow.  Or have taken SSRIs and its given you the urge to shoot up room fulls of people??  I guess all I can say is my experience is different but if your not taking Mental Health meds or not an expert and your repeating something could you please point out where its coming from and why you believe it and not what responsible doctors are telling me?

Its just my opinion but I believe that our entertainment in the last few decades has numbed us to violence.   If you look at movies from the past you would be hard pressed to find a graphic scene of someone mowing down room fulls of "bad guys"  Now it seems to be required!  The games that people played in the previous century didn't include the fun of mowing down buildings full of people.  Have you noticed there is little to no regret shown by the actors blasting away at these room fulls of people?   I think its a bit like watching porn all the time.  What used to be "crazy" extreme is the new normal. Acting out Rape scenes in BDSM porn and violence that is what all the cool kids are doing.  Is it any wonder that frat boys are getting away with violent rapes with no jail time?

I don't have any great love for big pharma.  I think they make a lot of money for being an industry  that is supposed to cure disease.  And on that topic how many drugs are not cures but a life long (Expensive) pill you keep taking forever?  The answer I think is all (or most) of them.

Back to the primary topic there has to be some sort of celebration we can have when your shape changes enough that your panties don't roll down because your figure has changed!  Someone pass me the party hat because Hooray!  I've reached that level.

The worst possible weight loss plan.  Also the one most likely to work.  Anxiety attacks!  I prefer almost anything else.

Just a note that Kate and I have had a really great conversation PMing.  I got pretty crabby in my post so I want to say I think the world of her.

I'm sorry that the waist, hip thread got  derailed.  I think this is an  very important topic.  Well fun if nothing else.  My shape had changed for the better.  Its at least slightly more hourglass and the proof is that my panties don't roll down.  Its wonderful!  I'm still working on loosing weight and agree with who ever said they don't want to loose their butt!

It's true! We actually have several very interesting and fun conversations.

I feel that the very important topic of hips, thighs, waist, buns etc need to be recharged!  I'm jealous of you girls with the fab figures and want to know the secret(s)! ! !  Has anyone heard of the yes diet or tried it?  What has worked?  HRT seems to make changing my weight more difficult.  Is it just me?

I haven't. My suggestion is breaking out the old exercise tapes and doing aerobics.

One of the big things I have been doing now is cutting out processed foods.
I have been eating tones of greens.
The fat that surrounds our organs is killer both literally and on our waist sliming potential.
Think about it? Most of our organs are house in our mid section.
I have been lucky in that I have been capable of sticking to my guns on this and have had great effects so far.
My hips was mostly luck I imagine!

You are kind of lucky there in Europe, because it is way easier to get healthy food all over the place!  I live in the tropics (actually technically it is the subtropics), and you should think you would find fresh produce and fruits all over the place, with farmers markets sitting at every street corner!  You should think, but thinking does create any of them.  The community here in which I live has a population of almost 120 000 people, but not a single farmers market.  A few smaller ones are in some of the better known and larger cities.
Fruit and produce in the stores is more expensive here than it was up north in Minnesota!

It is not that easy for the average American to cut out all the bad stuff and still be able to afford healthy food!

The east coast is especially bad regarding fresh produce. The selection of food has been much better in Texas as it was in Virginia.
