Missouri gets tornadoes, snow, and more parasites and spiders than just about anywhere this side of the everglades.

Michigan gets snow and tornadoes.

I didn't know that, or at least I assume it's not very common there, whereas in the South it's just a constant fear looming over us all of the time (even during the winter nowadays. Ugh).

Although I'm well aware of the the higher probability of tornadoes the closer you get to the plains, which includes the Northernmost states. I think we have an interesting way of talking about "North vs South" in the US. Hence why when I said North I was referring more to the New England states. Yeah, if you go up to say North Dakota or something you experience tornadoes AND snow, and lots of both.

Anyway, I think we're referring to New England as the North, because it's known as much more liberal than the South.

Anything wrong with snow, if you are young?  Snow enables you to ride snowmobiles, which are mega fun!

And when I had my John Deere with a heated cab, even snow cleaning was lots of fun!

Once you move away from Cleveland, Ohio, so does the rest of Ohio.  And from what I understand, ice storms.  Ice storms are WAY worse!

Cleveland usually only gets snow.  :P

I had a friend from Missouri in the military. He referred to it as "The Great State of Misery."

Oh he's not the only one.  :D

Once I'm done with school I'm going back to the Southwest if at all possible.

Don't make Missoura all that bad.  I published a few papers through the University of Rolla!
