MtF Ideal Weight

With my current diet, I am just 5 pounds from getting to my "ideal" male weight.  How long after starting HRT would you advise to lower into my ideal female range.  Is there a X number of months or years to gradually continuing my diet to the female number?  I unfortunately still have a small stomach bulge that I am trying to get rid of too.  Does the type of delivery (pill or injection) make a big difference to your progress in regards to a diet?

Also, as we lose muscle mass, is there a noticeable weight loss because of it?  I realize some on HRT will gain weight because of the medicines we take.

I've been working with my weight for years. Currently, I weight about 170lbs and my male goal is 150lbs versus a female goal 140lbs. I'm not sure I can do either one. I have a large ribcage area and was athletic for years, so I do not have high hopes. If I get anywhere close to that it I beleive that it will take at least 3+ years.

My male goal is 157 vs female at 146.  I am wondering if I go to my female number to soon, will that effect the fat distribution process.  Luckily, I was on a diet 6 months before starting HRT.  (If that really makes a difference in fat re-distribution)

I need to lose muscle and maybe if that happens I will lose some serious upper body weight. I imagine that my lower body weighs quite a bit. I still have an athletic build. Fat redistribution has been great so far.

Losing too much weight (and fat) is generally counterproductive to building your breasts and hips, but forget that!!
Get your weight down to near proper female numbers and let your HRT do the rest.
 
Being at the lower weight not only is better for you health-wise, but you will also feel better about yourself.... and you new female clothes will fit better too, at smaller sizes perhaps?

It's a lot easier to lose weight before you start HRT than after.

while i do watch what i eat i, am more focussed on second puberty and not starving my body. if i don't eat i can't change correctly. I am going ride it out and hope for the best for the first year or two.

That is extremely true! I wish I had gotten closer to my goal weight than I did before starting HRT.
