I am so sorry.

I know how it feels to arrive too late. I didn't make it to my Grandma's side before she past on and it is something that has bothered me for years, not having the chance to say good bye. Deep down I believe your Dad knows that you tried to make it. Try to celebrate the good from his life.

Wow your young Arianna dad couldn't have been that old . . . Mom died first with family in Michigan then later dad in Conn. Was lucky enough (?) to be only one of us 4 kids there for both . . .

Condolences from me too.  I think I know how you feel.  My mother died in hospital and although I rushed when the staff 'phoned and said that I should come quick, I didn't quite make it in time.
