Hey everybody, I am a 17 year old gender questioning person, AFAB, and thinking I'm probably a guy. I'm fairly new to online forums so this is kind of scary to me, but I love the idea of talking to people who might relate and hearing everyone's experience.

Every day i think about gender identity to the point where i agonize over it, and i know there's no rush to figure things out, but thinking about this every day for the past 3-4 years is driving me insane! I guess i'm looking to figure out as surely as possibly whether i'm a trans guy. Part of me feels, however, as if i already know the answer deep down, and that i'm just in self denial because it feels so surreal. Accepting that i'm trans would make everything so much realer and scarier, having to deal with what that means for myself. I keep thinking, statistically being trans is rare, "i just *couldnt* possibly in that small percentage. It can't be me." But I've gotta know because at this point, i'm just not *living*. I feel like i'm barely functioning and yeah, i do have some unrelated mental issues that contribute to that, but i feel like my crippling misery and constant disassociation could very easily be explained by me being trans.

Sorry for the long rant, I am excited to meet everyone and would be super stoked for any insight, not certain of my identity yet but looking to figure myself out better by talking to y'all!

Losthippie, Welcome to the forums. I'm new here also but I've found many answers to questions posted by others and the responses by members sharing their thoughts and experiences.

You're so very fortunate to be exploring this at such a young age. You have the opportunity to live your life as the girl you know you are if you choose that path.
